Eastside Rally
There are no details totally set in stone yet, but the current planned date is August 16th. It is planned to last from 11am to 4pm (tentative). It is planned to be held at Moses Lake high school, and anyone that doesn’t go will be missing out. It will a great experience and will give everyone an opportunity to meet key clubbers from our area, and eastern Washington. I would strongly recommend all division 48 key clubbers join us!!
ICON!!!ICON is coming up very soon. To be exact, it is
occurring July 2nd through the 6th. This year it will be held
in Anaheim, California. Include in the price is; your way into the convention, airfare, your hotel room, and a two day park hopper pass. It would give a chance to meet Key clubbers from all around. You would get to see all the different fundraiser possibilities and service projects. This would be a great opportunity for anyone able to go!
The Eliminate ProjectThe eliminate project has, once again, been selected as the governor’s project this year. The goal of Eliminate is to eradicate maternal and neonatal tetanus by the year 2015. One baby is killed by “MNT” every nine minutes. It
is contracted when tetanus spores, usually from soil, get into open cuts during childbirth. For a mere $1.80 we can supply the three dose immunization, which is then passed onto the child. If UNICEF can raise 110 million dollars, they can completely wipe MNT from the face of the Earth. MNT only exists in 25 countries at this time. If we continue on the path we are on, we can destroy this terrible disease and continue to improve the world.
DCM!!!I am planning a DCM to catch up on everything all the clubs are doing, and have a little divisional bonding time. I am planning it for May 25th at McEuen Park, in downtown Coeur d’Alene. I will be bringing food, and we will get together for a few
hours and have a great time as a division. Please come and join us, it should be great!!!
