THE LOREM IPSUMS SUMMER 2016

ICON in California! There were a lot of awesome

workshops, which taught me a lot about how to be the best LTG. I can be – and even more, there was fun!

Workshop 1: LTGAt this workshop, we learned about the importance of communication within our divisions and keeping up with our monthly responsibilities. Governor Sam even assisted in this presentation! NJ was well represented. Overall, it taught all us Lieutenant Governors the importance of being informed. Workshop 2: Rustic PathwaysI could have spent my time a bit more wisely perhaps in a more relevant workshop but it’s such an interesting program! There are dozens of locations worldwide to visit, and even programs designed specifically for Key Clubbers!Workshop 3: YUDA Bands

After completing this school project, I promised presenter Mr. Phillip Whiting that I would help him show off YUDA Bands to the other workshop-goers. I helped him testify of how fun and beneficial this project was, and got to re-live the YUDA revolution! I hope some division 10 clubs do this project, so stay tuned at upcoming DCMs – I’ll surely mention Workshop 4: Social MediaIt’s often hard to reach a lot of you guys and figure out how to work everything around all our schedules, so I was introduced to some really cool software and techniques to keep everyone virtually up to date! I’m going to get everyone from Division 10 signed up on a remind101 ASAP, and try to use a planning website called “whenisgood.com” to schedule meetings.

THE LOREM IPSUMS SUMMER 2016

The Non-Workshop DaysWe went through Anaheim on a lovely Garden walk, enjoyed the Disney theme park with a special tour of their new Cars attraction, toured more touristy areas like Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and took pictures in front of the big Hollywood sign!

Then of course there was House of Delegates (HOD). This was a very significant HOD with 5 new

All right, we all know the workshops at ICON are fun and informative, but in all realness, we were in California!

NJ is one of three or four other districts who come up early and leave late, in order to see Cali for what it really is.

Membership should cover one’s tenure in

high school as stipulated by their education system. These members

should be interested in service and

qualified scholastically by school district requirements for extracurricular

activities and of good character.

Fifty cents of the dues of each member shall

no longer be deposited in the Youth Opportunities Fund to create an endowment to fund grants to clubs

and scholarships – rather, this will go towards Key Club

International’s deficit.

THE LOREM IPSUMS SUMMER 2016

A Message from your LTG.

officers do not respond to my emails about club visits. It is imperative that I check in on you, and it’s only for your benefit!

Now I know my home club hasn’t even made a plan for the first meeting yet, but I expect all clubs to have hosted a meeting in September.

Furthermore, it is a requirement for me to have all of Division 10’s officers trained by October 12, the day of Fall Rally!Speaking of this important day, how many people from your club will be coming? Start recruiting now! Tell people about how awesome it is to scream your head off for an hour in all the Key Club excitement then scream some more as you ride on roller coasters for the rest of the day!

I know it’s sometimes overwhelming, but it’s also wonderful, and I am always here for all of you!

Hey Division 10!Again, I just can’t express how fortunate I have been in being appointed to serve in your division. I know for a lot of you officers, it’s difficult to balance Key Club life with school responsibilities, family and social life, and other extracurricular activities, but I implore that you all persevere.

We are entering the heat of Key Club season what with Fall RTCs and Fall Rally already around the corner.

I ask that you respond to my emails, and try to work with me to schedule dates for officer training. I’m happy to come to you after school one day, or meet up at a Starbucks on a Sunday, just please let me know what works best for you.

That being said, I’m going to begin contacting advisers if
