With the joy of Christmas quickly approaching, the Social Concerns Committee of Divine Mercy Parish is happy to tell you that a "Christmas Giving Tree" will be placed in the vestibule of the church. This tree will give everyone the opportunity to take a cardboard ornament which will be labeled with a gift idea for a Christmas gift to be donated to a local, underprivileged child. PLEASE TAKE AN ORNAMENT from the tree to help brighten a child’s heart this Christmas. Then, deliver the new, UNwrapped gift to the church or to the parish office anytime from now until December 13th. We can be certain that the acts of giving that these gifts will be the best gifts that we can give to ourselves this Christmas. Thank you and God bless you and your fami-lies.
Divine Mercy Parish Junior Youth Group is sponsoring a
hat, gloves, and scarf drive benefitting Catholic Social Ser-

What is Chil-dren’s Liturgy of
the Word (CLOW)?
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a part of the 11:00AM Mass on Sunday. The children sit with their families at Mass and leave when called forward for the dis-missal to go to a prayer space in the Parish Center. They are welcomed and made comfortable. The children sit on chairs or on a carpet to celebrate their Liturgy of
the Word. The children listen to the First Reading read by one of the children and then the Gospel read by the leader. The children then participate in a guided
conversation and reflection with the leader, sharing the message that they heard in the readings and perhaps some special meaning the message has for them in their
own life. The readings are from the Children’s Lectionary and are in language written for children. They sing the Psalm and play instruments for the Gospel
Acclamation. Building on the word, the children will then express their beliefs in the Creed and place their own requests before God in their Intercessions. As the
adult celebration of the word concludes in church the children return and join their families for the remainder of Mass.
If you are interested in helping with
CLOW, please contact the Parish
Office.
Some parishioners have shown interest in starting an exercise club (i.e. yoga night) at Divine Mercy.
If you would be interested in joining, please contact the Parish Office by November 23rd. The exercise club will need at least ten committed people to be able to get this running.
Please leave all food donations in the center vestibule in the back of the Church. This will
ensure that no animals or weather conditions will get to the food. Thank you for your
continued support of our programs.
Ministry Schedule
The Ministry Schedule for January and February will be released on December 17th. Contact Nick at the Parish Office by December 15th if you have any scheduling conflicts, would like to change your Mass time preference
or be taken off the schedule.
Volunteers are still needed for our Christmas Masses. Contact the Parish Office if you would like to volunteer.
We are always happy to see new volunteers coming forward to share their gifts with our parish community. If you are interested or know of someone who may be interested in participating in one of our many ministries, contact
Nick at the Parish Office for more information on how to get involved!
