The University Club is delighted to kick off 2016 byhosting an interactive New Year’s Day production from

Albany-based theater collective Creative License.Creative License is a different kind of theater company, focused on acting and the page, innovative staging andunique venues for a discerning audience. Divided features3 original short plays penned by local writers that, muchlike those classic Choose Your Own Adventure books of the1980s and 90s, allow the audience to vote to determinehow the action unfolds.

Creative License was founded by local theater artists

Aaron Holbritter and Casey Polomaine in March of2014. Over a plate of chicken parm and a slice of tomatopie, Holbritter and Polomaine discussed the need for atheatrical group in the Capital Region that would breakdown the barriers between the artistic world and thegeneral public. They focus on the written word and thehonest, rich performances of its actors, and have alreadyenjoyed critical acclaim for A Steady Rain and Dog SeesGod: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, bothpresented at The Albany Barn.

Up next for Creative License is I Am My Own Wife, opening February 19th at Albany Barn. Visit

www.creativelicenseonline.com to learn more aboutthis and other Creative License productions and programs.

This event is presented by the University Club Founda-tion, a 501c3 corporation, and the Terri Boor CulturalProgramming Fund , established to support the social, cul-tural and historic preservation programs of the University

Club Foundation, including maintenance of the Club as a venue for visual and performing arts.
