Tell Them From Survey The Tell Them From Me survey has been extended into Term 2. Last term, families had the opportunity to opt out of the survey. Implementing this survey with Years 4 to 6 students provides valuable feedback on what your child thinks about school. The survey takes approximately 30 minutes and is completed at school. It is confidential and individual students are not able to be recognised from their responses to questions. Parent Teacher Interviews In Week 10 of this term (Monday 29 th June – Friday 3 rd July) parents and carers have an opportunity to discuss their child’s learning, goals and achievements during Semester 1. Each student’s areas of learning which need to be developed for the rest of the year will be identified and discussed. Due to COVID-19 conferences will be conducted over the phone. Students will receive a note explaining how to book a conference time online using the following website and entering the code provided on the note: https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/ If you need support with booking a conference time, please phone your child’s class teacher and they may be able to assist you through this process. Teachers will phone families who have not booked and assist them in registering a conference time. Indigenous Artists Wanted The University of Newcastle is seeking an Indigenous artist to develop artwork that will be a visual representation of the University’s commitment to Indigenous Education. Please see the attached flyer for further information. Jesmond Public School Working From Home Survey Thank you for your support of our school and completing the short survey sent out last week to evaluate communication, teaching and learning during COVID- 19. The responses were positive and provided some clear feedback in regards to areas students needed additional support during the pandemic such as mathematics and writing. Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. It is greatly appreciated.
