BOBBI’S THOUGHTS For the opening sequence I thought that we could

tackle a social issues that teenagers could relate to. From looking at the audience feedback, school issues such as the difference in cliques would appeal to a wider variety of our teenage audience of teenagers.

The opening scene would show the contrast between two

TASHANAS THOUGHTS

For the opening sequence I thought that we could use a typical movie genre of fantasy romance

A young aspiring actress who is finding it hard to make her name to be known. But when finally getting a shot there’s a twist as she has to give up her ordinary life of a teenage girl to become a girl who is unknowingly under a love spell with her manager...who traps her.

ELLIE’S THOUGHTS

For our opening sequence I think we should focus on something more dramatic that the film industry tend to lay off...abuse, rape and suicide.

The opening could start dramatically when a young girl is writing a suicide letter to her mother saying why she is about to commit to suicide. The girl can then begin to start drinking bleach (not really...WATER) then her mum could come home forgetting her phone, then find her daughter attempting to commit suicide.

OVERT OF CONVENTIONS?

The way that teens are portrayed in the common TV shows and films is that they are young, careless and not under control. To break these conventions of a typical teen movie, we will show two different types of girls that contrast against each other. Instead of making our opening soley based on crime, drugs and relationships, we will be showing how teens portray THEMSELF.

RATING

We have decided to make our movie opening the age rating of a 12 because our opening will consist of visual blades (not the taking, just showing them) and swearing .

WHAT WILL IT CONSIST OF Stereotypes

Social issues

Setting

We will be including the stereotypes of what a ‘diva’ and a ‘rebel’ within the school would be like at home. But through their thoughts.

Our setting will be in a teenagers bedroom enabling the audience to get to know the characters better – identifying if they can relate to them.

We thought that doing a social issue which consists on school grounds would be more appealing to our teenage audience as they have all been put into the position when its their first day.

Ensuring that our opening scene consists of all of these things our opening scene will be successful
