Load Field Data SpreadsheetEnergy Builder is a hydrocarbon accounting software system. The system is able to perform data capture, calculate and check data, validate data, and generate reports.

Before the data is entered into the system, the data field spreadsheet needs to be deliver to the administrator. The spreadsheet will need to be checked, and updated if needed. After the spreadsheet is complete, Energy Builder will load the data from the spreadsheet into the system. Any data that has tags can be imported, but any data such as well tests, field operations, and tickets will need to be inputted manually. Additionally, users will have to input any downtime data into the system manually.

After the data has been input into the system, users are required to visually check the well test data, make sure all of the data is available, and ensure the calculated data has been calculated correctly. Next, move on to verify that the imported Energy Unit (well) data is correct. Lastly, check the flow stream data that was imported from the spreadsheet, and calculate the data.

To perform allocation, the allocation network will need to be checked to see if any errors occur. If errors have occurred, then users need to go back to check all the data. If no error occurs, then proceed to run the allocation network. When all of the data is completed in the system, a report can be generated and printed out. After everything is complete, the data will be validated and approved to prevent any further update. The process ends when all of the data has been approved.

Load Field Data Spreadsheet

A similar daily/monthly spreadsheet as above will be delivered by the customer. Once the spreadsheet had been received, check and update the spreadsheet as needed. Sometimes, many things need clarified and corrected, so checking and updating the spreadsheet between customers and eDataViz is a must. When the spreadsheet is completed and ready, it will be loaded into Energy Builder.

Load Field Data Spreadsheet

12:01 AM – 1:00 AM

Before the workday begins for production operators, Energy Builder will use interfaces to load all of the data from the spreadsheet into the system. This is done by the system using tags mapping. Interfaces has Source Configuration, Import Data Function, and the Data Loader function.

12:01 AM: SCADA/Historian database totalizes and averages the FDC values from the previous day.

12:05: AM: Energy Builder pulls data from SCADA/historian systems, or the systems push the data to EB. (This can be done manually by operators at a later time).

Depending on the way a production operation collects production data. Data can be:

1. Pushed to Energy Builder or pulled from Energy Builder via an interface service

2. Collected via mobile device such as EB tablet by pumper

3. Recorded in spreadsheet by pumper manually

1:00 AM: EB sends message to operators and involved personnel informing them if the data is complete/error free

Load Field Data Spreadsheet

12:01 AM – 1:00 AM

Need something

The Source Configuration is designed to help the user configure the settings to import data into the system. The user only needs to do this once, and the setting can be used throughout the importing process. The user can configure more than one setting as needed.

Load Field Data Spreadsheet

12:01 AM – 1:00 AM

Need something

Import Data will import the data from a spreadsheet into the system by determining the type of source data (Excel, PI, and SCADA). Spreadsheets will need to be chosen from a designated location, and the setting will need to be selected. Since the setting is already configured with columns and rows, the system will import data according to the pre-configuration, along with the correct date and time.

Load Field Data Spreadsheet

12:01 AM – 1:00 AM

Need something

The Data Loader is designed to load data that does not have tag. This function can load multiple rows at one time. With the Data Loader, filling in the Table row is a must because it will determine where the data will be loaded into. Additionally, the field will need to be added to the columns mapping area; this option replaces tag mapping and is how the system will read the data from the spreadsheet and load it into the system (this function applies for truck tickets).

11

Manually Enter Data

12:01 AM – 1:00 AM

Need something

Well test data will need to be entered manually in to Energy Builder. All of the corrected data must go under the appropriate columns and for all three tabs (like an example above). Well test data is important because it will be used for the theoretical calculation later for wells.

12

Manually Enter Data

12:01 AM – 1:00 AM

Need something

Downtime data will need to be input manually, and all of the data must go under the appropriate columns. This is used for historical records, and the calculation of how much product will be lost during the downtime event.

Automated System

12:01 AM – 1:00 AM

12:01 AM: SCADA/Historian database totalizes and averages the FDC values from the previous day

12:05: AM: Energy Builder pulls data from SCADA/historian systems, or the systems push the data to EB.

Energy Builder’s automated system has already completed calculating and updating all of the data necessary for the operator’s workday. As early as 12:05 am, Energy Builder interfaces with a SCADA/Historian database in order to pull the previous day’s field data. After the data has been collected, EB sends a message to the system operators and other involved personnel. This message either informs personnel that the data is complete and error free, or that it is incomplete and there are errors that require human intervention.

report

5:00 AM – 6:59 AM

Every morning at 7:00 AM production operators are required to produce and distribute a morning report detailing the previous day’s production data. In order to accomplish this, production operators will begin their day at 5:00 AM and verify that all of the data is complete and properly entered. They will then run the daily allocation and create a morning report. This report will first be circulated to all personnel involved in the daily morning meetings, and then distributed to external stakeholders.

Well Test Data Capture: Energy Builder users will open this page in order to input and manage data for well tests throughout the facilities. The resulting data will then be utilized by Energy Builder in the allocation process. Once user press ‘Save’ button, other derived data will be calculated by the system based on input data.

Well Data Capture: Energy Builder users will visit this screen to enter and manage data for the various hydrocarbon wells throughout the facilities. As before, once operators have selected the appropriate filters, they will ensure that the well data has been imported correctly. If the data has not been imported incorrectly, EB users can manually enter in the correct data before continuing.

Flow Stream Data Capture: Energy Builder users will come to this screen to enter in and manage (verify, edit, confirm) the various hydrocarbon meters throughout the facilities. Once the operator has chosen the appropriate filters and selected the corresponding meters, they will verify the metering data is imported correctly. If the data has not been import incorrectly, EB users will manually enter the correct data before continuing or re-import the data again.
