1. Reference forwarded to FOB the status of BCD's use of the CABATONaddresses. However, since reference was written we ve again reviewed ouraccommodation addresses. Listed below are all FOB modation addresseswhich are reflected in our records (since the Spri o 1959) as having beenassigned to BOB, the agents to which these addresses have been assigned, andthe current status of these addresses, i.e., active, pending, or terminated/cancelled.

a. The ALBRECHT Address. This address, serviced by AENEON-16, wasfurnished to BOB per EGFA-25161, 6 February 1959. This address has neverbeen assigned toaa BOB operation although we have kept it on our records asavailable for assignment to BOB agents in the USSR. We assume the status ofthis address has not changed and will notify FOB immediately when this addressis to be assigned to a BOB agent.

b. CABATON 1/1A. This address, furnished to BOB perg41541,6 February 1959, was assigned to CAESUS per EGBA-56914, 23 Ap4 3 hisassignment was cancelled per BRLN 2170, 10 January 1961. f. CABATON 24. This address, furnished to BOB per EGFA-25161,

6 February 1959, was assigned to CAVALLO per EGBA-56154, 23 March 1959.CAVALLO refugeed to the West in September 1959 and FOB was informed perEGBA-61016, 12 January 1960, that this address was no longer being used byCAVALLO. CASALTY-6 also was assigned this address, in March 1959. BOBcancelled the assignment of this address to BOB operations in January 1961(EGBA-66851, 25 January 1961) because of the arrest of CASALTY-6. We judge

that the address must be considered compromised.

g. CABATON 25. Furnished to BOB per EGFA-25751, 27 March 1959,we reported to FOB that this address was assigned to CAOODLES (EGBA-58385,25 June 1959). EGBA-60875, 25 November 1959, reported that the CABATON 25address was not given to CAOODLES. We cancelled the assignment of this addressto BOB in view of CABATON 25's pending emigration to the United States inearly 1960.

h. CABATON 26. Furnished to BOB per EGFK-26299, 6 May 1959, thisaddress was assigned to BEROUND (EGBA-61896, 29 February 1960) and also toan FOB BEDOX ZODIAC operation (FROB 6378, 25 February 1960). At Headquarters'request (in view of the FOB BEDOX assignment) this address was not given toBEROUND and the assignment of this address to BOB operations was cancelled.CABATON 26 was again furnished for BOB's use by EGFA-32455, 2 December 1960,and was subsequently assigned to CANALIZE-12. In April 1961- this addresswas also assigned to CASPUR-2 (see BGBA-68461, 8 June 19610. This addressremains active for CANALIZE-12 and CASPUR-2.

i. CABATON 29. Furnished to BOB per FOB's cablenote of 06/05 May1960, this address was assigned to CATHYROID-1 per BRLN 9587, 2 June 1960,‘and remains active.

m. CABATON 39. Furnished to BOB via FOB's cablenote of 02/11 May1960, this address was assigned to CAMITA-6 per BRLN 9493, 25 May 1960, andalso to CABEG . per ERIN 1849, 9 December 1960. EGBA-66836, 5 January 1961,reported that this address was considered to be compromised (through CREED),but for CE operational reasons requested that the address be kept active. WenoW consider our action re CABEG completed and request that the assignmentof this address to BOB operations be cancelled.

n. CABATON 41. This address, furnished to BOB per FOB's cablenoteof 06/05 May 1960, was assigned to CATHYROID-2 per BRLN 9667, 9 June 1960.Per our 13/19 July 1960 telenote to FOB we cancelled the assignment of thisaddress to CATHYROID-2 as we felt the delay in our receipt of letters fromCATHYROID-2 warranted the assignment of another accommodation address to thelatter. Per BRLN 0512, 25 August 1960, this address was subsequently assignedto CAWHIM. Although CAWHIM has not yet been given this address, his trainingwill be completed in the near future and the assignment of this address to ,R

CAWHIM remains active.

Wenotified FOB (per BRLN 1913, 14 December 1960) that we considered thisaddress to be compromised because CALERIA-17 mailed a test letter to thisaddress in March 1960. We requested, however, that FOB keep the addressactive for possible mail from GASBAG. As FOB is already aware (BRIM 0025,12 July 1960), there is soMe question as .to the bona fides of CASHAGThe CASHAG case is not yet clarified and we wish to continue to maintain theaddress in an active status.
