In this research I am looking at distribution.This involves me looking at films in the same genre as my trailer and delving into who distributed those.This will be useful

as it will help me to assess who would distribute my trailer if it were to become a film .I will also look at whether not these

distributors are independent or commercial.

• PARAMOUNT PICTURES DISTRIBUTE FILMS FROM A NUMBER OF GENRES WORLDWIDE.THEY MAINLY DISTRIBUTE ACTION FILMS AND THE WOULD BE WHY THIS FILM WOULD FIT IN WELL WITH THEIR EXTENSIVE COLLECTION.

• THEY ALSO DISTRIBUTE A HIGH LEVELS OF COMMERCIAL FILMS THAT MAKE A LOT OF MONEY WHEN IN THE BOX OFFICE.THIS FILM FITS BECAUSE WHEN IN THE BOX OFFICE IT MADE $500 MILLION WORLD WIDE.

CONTAGION• CONTAGION IS AN SCI -FI THRILLER WHICH WAS

DISTRIBUTED BY WARNER BROS.WARNER BROS DISTRIBUTE FILMS FROM A NUMBER OF GENRES WORLDWIDE, RANGING FROM CHILDREN'S FILMS TO THRILLERS AND ACTION.THEY DISTRIBUTE HIGH END COMMERCIAL FILMS THAT ARE LIKELY TO TAKE IN A LOT OF MONEY.

• THIS FILM FITS BECAUSE IT FALLS INTO TO THE WIDE RANGE OF GENRES AND WAS DISTRIBUTED WORLDWIDE. WHEN IN THE BOX OFFICE IT MADE $135 MILLION WORLD WIDE.

28 DAYS LATER• 28 DAYS LATER IS A HORROR WHICH WAS

DISTRIBUTED BY 20TH CENTURY FOX.20TH CENTURY FOX ARE COMMERCIAL DISTRIBUTERS OF FILMS FROM ALL GENRES.MOST RECENTLY THEY HAVE DISTRIBUTED FILMS SUCH AS GONE GIRL, TAKEN 3 AND WILD.

• THEY MAINLY DISTRIBUTE AMERICAN FILMS AND THIS WOULD MEAN THAT OUR FILM WOULD NOT FIT HOWEVER,28 DAYS LATER HAS AN ENGLISH CAST AND DIRECTOR AND WAS STILL DISTRIBUTED BY 20TH CENTURY FOX.

CONCLUSIONFrom the research I have carried out I

would say that our film could be distributed by many different distribution

companies.

The distrusters best suited for our film would most likely be commercial and have many films in the same genre as ours.This would be because they would know best how to distribute this type of

film .Commercial distributors would also be a good way to gain publicity as your film

would be seen as being a good film if they were willing to distribute it.
