The Canoes The 20-passager vessels are real, old-fashioned canoes there is no motor andno track. Modeled after the boats that early Native American and Europeanexplorers used to traverse the real rivers of America, these 35-foot-long canoesare powered entirely by the strong arms and paddles of the people inside.Don't worry about the workload! The boats are lightweight and most of thepaddling is more for fun than propulsion. While your help is appreciated, the river

guides who sit in the fore and aft of the canoe are capable enough of navigatingthe waters by themselves.

Climb steep mountain faces, plungeinto creepy caves and rocket around twists and turns. Matterhorn Bobsleds is athrilling roller-coaster-style attraction that will leave you yodeling withexcitement!The Run Brace against the howling winds as you climb 80 feet into the air inside an icycave. Take in the sweeping view at the summit and hang on, because the onlyway off this mountain is down! Two Tracks Choose one of 2 nearly identical bobsled runs: one on the Fantasyland side andanother on the Tomorrowland side. Each run has a separate queue and duringslower periods only a single track may be in operation. Both tracks are equallyfun, but the Fantasyland track is slightly longer and features some sharper curves.Scale

Matterhorn Mountain certainly looks tall, partially due to the excellent use of themovie-set-inspired technique of forced perspective. However, the DisneylandPark mountain is exactly 100 times shorter than Switzerland's massive 14,700-foot-tall original.New Snow Now, Matterhorn Mountain sparkles! To mimic the snow patterns onSwitzerland's original mountain, more than 800 gallons of paint have been usedto create "heavier" snowfall on the nor thern side of Matterhorn Mountain andless snow on the granite-colored southern side. Realistic, yes but not withouta touch of magic. Using a new, environmentally friendly technique, glass beadshave been fastened to the faade to reflect sunlight and glisten like actual snow.Also, more pine trees have been planted to add to the atmosphere.

Peter Pan's FlightPeter Pan's Flight is an enchanting aerial journey inspired by the classic Disneymovie Peter Pan .
