Tripler & Fort ShafterIn addition to the swimming pool and cardio rooms, TAMC offers fi tnessclasses on Mondays (Step Aerobics), Wednesday (Cardio Kickboxing), andFridays (Zumba Fitness) from 4:30 to 5:30 pm; 35-40 minutes cardio, including strength training and Pilates Mat for an all around workout. Free for active duty military and their dependents w/ID, all others including DoD personnel are $4.00 per class or $25.00 per monthly pass.

Unit PT Aerobic ClassPlease read the following information describing our program:
1. The PT classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday (by appointment) from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. You can meet in formation in the gym.
2. Please let us know if you have to cancel so other units can use that time slot. Call 653-0719 HMR for appointments and cancellations.
3. Classes are taught by certifi ed aerobics instructors. You may choose from a variety of classes listed below:
- Boot Camp- Style includes cardio, strength/ power training, and fl exibility drills.
- Yoga- Postures and movements designed to increase strength, fl exibility, balance, and relaxation and to reduce stress levels through breathing.
- Pilates- Exercises designed to challenge and strength core muscles of the trunk and hips.
- Hard “Core” Abs- will strengthen and tone all of the muscles in your body’s “core”.

BIG Big R: Countdown to Redeployment
This is a monthly event for Blue Star Card holders to count down the months until their Soldier returns. Each month there is a different activity such as Bowling, Zumba, Casino Night, Luau, etc. as well as free childcare and appetizers.
The Blue Star Card is a Family and MWR discount and activities program intended to enhance the well being of Spouses and Families of combat deployed Army Soldiers during the stressful time of deployment. For eligibility

Harmful and Poisonous Plants in Hawaii @ SGT Yano LibraryMs. Shirley Black Gerum, Chaminade University Ethnobotany Instructor will present a lecture on the subject on Oct. 5, 5:00-6:30 pm. The HIRED! Weekly & Weekend Apprenticeship Program offers valuable paid work experience at the end of the 12 week program and training to better equip each participant with the skills needed for a highly-competitive job market.
