DISCOVERLINK TALENT TIN CAN
WHAT IS TIN CAN?
17© Copyright 2019 DiscoverLink, Inc.
• Tin Can is the next evolution of SCORM specification
• Tin Can records learning in the form of “Action Statements”…
• For example: “John passed Guitar 101”, or “Josh read Business Ethics”
• These statements are sent to what is called a “LRS”
What is Tin Can?
What is an LRS?
• A Learning Record Store (LRS) is a place where learning statements are stored
• The LRS acts as a repository for these learning statements and then sends those statements to the LMS
• When Tin-Can API statements are created, they are sent to an LRS
• Tin Can • xAPI• Experience API
