❖ This small city with 197.932 inhabitants, is known world wide for the Sanfermines, or the Running of the Bulls. A festival celebrated in honor of Saint Fermín and considered one of the best festivals in the world.

❖ This festival was started during the middle age, but it was Ernest Hemmingway who introduced the festival around the world in his book The Sun Also Rises.

❖ Thanks to him, each year Pamplona is ready to receive more than 1.000.000 people

❖ Actually, the Running of the bulls takes place from July 6th at noon, to July 14th at midnight.

❖ Besides the Txupinazo and Pobre de mi, the principal event during the Running of the Bulls is the Encierro, where 6 bulls run along 849 meters to arrive from the corrales to the bullring of Pamplona.

❖ This event takes place every day from July 7th to 14th at 8:00 am. and normally takes 2-3 minutes.

Txupinazo❖ Opening Ceremonies

❖ July 6th at noon (12:00) takes place the Txupinazo, when a Pamplona leader lights the rocket and thousands of Pañuelicos raised in the air.

❖ We have the only 2 penthouse terraces - with capacity to accommodate only 5o people.

❖ Located directly across from the Ayuntamiento on Plaza Consistorial, where the Town Hall is.

❖ VIP Party with pintxos (tapas), wine and champagne from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

❖ Closing Ceremonies

❖ On July 14th at midnight, thousands gather in Plaza Consistorial to sing, dance and say goodbye to their days of revelry.

❖ From our VIP Terraces, you can get a bird’s eye views of this candle-lit event.

❖ VIP Party wine and champagne from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am

Encierro Balconies❖ Santo Domingo:

❖ The first and one of the most dangerous stretches of the Encierro. There is no place for shelter.

❖ The most experimented runners start here.

❖ Bulls are very fast here

❖ In this part is the statue of San Fermín, and the runners sing a prayer to the saint just before the run begins.

❖ Here we have Santo Domingo 25, level 1 and Santo Domingo 29, level 2.

❖ Mercaderes Street:

❖ Is one of the most dangerous and popular parts of the bulls route.

❖ Here is Dead man’s corner (Curva de Mercaderes)

❖ Here is the the first police line

❖ We have Calceteros 7, level 1 and Mercaderes 13, level 2 and others.


Encierro Balconies❖ Estafeta Street:

❖ The most dangerous thing is that bulls are separated from the group on the curve.

❖ The longest part of the bulls route, from dead man’s corner to Telefonica.

❖ Bulls start to be tired, so are more slow, but more dangerous.

❖ Here we have: Estafeta 2, level 2, Estafeta 61, level 2, and others.

❖ Novillada - July 5th at 8:00 pm - Bulls are smaller and the fighters are not professional fighters yet.

❖ Rejones - July 6th at 6:30 pm - Where the matador mounted on a horse.

❖ Regular Fight - July 7-14th at 6:30 pm - Traditional fights.

❖ Sun: More rambunctious side, with people who are more interested in a wild party than the fight.
