Porto and the North of Portugal has 4 World Heritage Sites by Unesco: the Historical City of

Porto, the Historical City of Guimarães, the Foz Côa Art Valley and the Douro Valley.

There are a thousand years of History to recreate in the ancient cities, the busy streets, the

walls of the heritage and the traditions of the people.

The commerce in the streets and galleries tremble with the vintage shops, traditional

markets, gourmet specialities and urban handicraft. The gastronomy from the north is rich,

healthy and exclusive and the wines of the region are unique, aromatic and surprising. We

have sun, sea and river, culture and entertainment. We have festivities, life, modernity and

agitation.

There is an immensity of things to do, places to see, people to meet and emotions to feel.

We receive with the nature of those who live their life with intensity!

Arrival to Porto. Meeting, greeting and assistance by Porto & Northern Portugal Tourism Staff

Guided visit to Serralves Foundation CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM OF SERRALVES, the Gardens, the Serralves Foundation –

an Art Deco mansion, a farm, a modern restaurant and the Tea Room restaurant, all inside

a huge park of 18 hectares, which give so many possibilities of indoors and outdoors

activities, traditional workshops, team building, informal lunches, pic nic in the park or a

very elegant and sophisticated candle light dinner.

Departure to Foz Seaside Porto is known by the river and the wonderful sea.. The seaside is the ideal location to take a walk, ride a bike or simply seat in one of the beatuiful terraces and have a drink! Discover beautiful shops and bars!

Strolling around the old and narrow streets, passing the most interesting land marks of the city including the Clérigos Tower – the ex-libris of the city, the exquisite Book Shop ‘LELLO’ - considered UNESCO World Patrimony and one of the third most beautiful bookshops in the World, the old grocery shops and boutiques, the colourful squares, etc. The new quarters of Cândido dos Reis (street) and Galeria de Paris (street), where one can find and enjoy the best of night life in Porto downtown with its trendy and design cafés, book shops, shops, Aliados avenue, Café Guarany, Bolhão market, Sta. Catarina street – the best pedestrian and shopping area and take a glimpse of Majestic café, S. Bento train station.

11h15 Guided visit to Graham´s Port Wine Cellars followed by lunch

The Graham’s Port Lodge is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Graham’s Ports and Port in general. It operates from within the Graham’s lodge, built in 1890 for the storage and maturing of the company’s wines in the best possible conditions. The lodge is still in use today, making Graham’s one of the very few working Lodges still operational after 100 years.

Dinner at DOP Restaurant - into the Palácio das Artes (Palace of Arts), an original building of the fourteenth century run by the Fundação da Juventude (Youth Foundation) in which creativity and innovation is promoted, has recently opened a new restaurant that wants to be a reference to the most discerning diners. It is called DOP (‘tasting and daring in Oporto’) and has a signature cuisine based on the traditional Portuguese flavours that the chef Rui Paula recreates with some international character. Ponte de Lima – plenty of Manor Houses, Palaces and Manor Houses, is also a Demarcated Wine Region famous for the production of the refresh and famous Vinho Verde (green wine). Visit to the city center.

12h00 Visit to Quinta do Ameal followed by lunch

Quinta do Ameal boasts a rich environmental heritage and, in addition to its vines, it is notable for its stunning woodland, which contains oak-trees, walnut-trees and centuries-old stone pines, forming an area of outstanding natural beauty next to the banks of the river Lima. It is considered to be property with exceptional agricultural and ecological potential, as well as an area of historical significance. Today, it is recognised as one of the producers of Portuguese Loureiro varietal wines that is most involved in and responsible for the development of this grape variety.
