Join the Memorial Art Gallery on a carefully designed program to Seattle and the Pacific Northwest where we will explore the region’s vast commitment to contemporary art. Our program will focus on the art works by Albert Paley and Dale Chihuly as we discover the art of glass blowing at the Tacoma Museum of Glass. Through Paley’s residency at the museum, we will have the opportunity to see his newest work incorporating his newest media, glass. The highlight of the program is a special private after-hours visit to Paley’s exhibit at the Museum of Glass where we will have the opportunity to meet with Paley and Memorial Art Gallery’s Director, Jonathan Binstock, at a private reception hosted by the University of Rochester Alumni and the Memorial Art Gallery. Enjoy your stay in the heart of Seattle while we discover the expansive art scene the city is known for. Marvel at the impressive collection of contemporary art at the Seattle Art Museum. Spend the day learning about the impact that artist Dale Chihuly has on Seattle as we explore the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. Immerse yourself in the larger-than-life installations on a private tour of the Olympic Sculpture Park. being able to be on your feet for extended period of times. The pro-

gram will be using taxis and bus to get around and this sometimes

involves walking for 15 minutes or more and using stairs. The trip is

not suitable for those who have mobility problems.
