    Dear Church Family,

School is out for another year and summer is here. That means vacations and traveling

for many people. That’s a good thing and we all deserve a change of scenery from time to

    time.

We are getting near our Vacation Bible School time. I am grateful for all the workers

who have come on board to help us again this year. What a wonderful opportunity to

share the good news about Jesus with children and their parents. Please be in prayer for

our workers and the children and their families. VBS is an exciting time that takes over

our entire church for the week of June 13-17. It is always a busy but fun week.

For the months of June through August, our adult and youth Sunday morning LIFE

Groups will all be going through a curriculum called Lifecoach-Discipleship; “What You

Should Know and How You Can Grow”. It is excellent material that every Christian

should have a grasp on. In fact, there are 50 questions, involving some basics, which

everybody ought to have answers for. For that period, my Sunday morning messages will

correspond to what you will be studying. At the end of the quarter I am going to challenge

some of you to commit to disciple someone, using the material you will have gone

through. Remember that’s why we exist as a church-  to make disciples. If you are not

already involved in a small group, I hope you will find one because that is where you will

     benefit most.

We sometimes talk about our need to connect with our community. There is a great

opportunity for us to do that. On Saturday, June 4, 10:00 a.m. -2:00p.m., we will meet at

the city park in Frostproof for a time to mingle with people. We will provide food, games,

music and a time of “Family Day Fun”. I hope you will be involved, either by working at

a booth, or just be there to fellowship.

We are beginning a new Young Adults LIFE Group class. Pray for Ron and Tina Scali,

and Freddie Senterfitt, as they facilitate and minister to this age group.

At our quarterly business in April, we voted to approve new constitution and bylaws. Ifyou did not get a copy let me encourage you to do so and become somewhat familiar with

    it.

Let’s be faithful in our attendance and giving during these summer months.

    In His love,

    Bro. DarrolBro. DarrolBro. DarrolBro. Darrol

PAGE 2  DISCOVER  THE LOVE OF CHRIST

    Hello Family,

First of all, congratulations to all of our graduating high school seniors “Class of 2016”! Graduating this

    year we have:

Gilberto Buentello  Landon Chance  Ian Flynn

Darrion Gardner   Jennipher Kelley  Brianna Long

    Jacob Morrow Jacob Waibel

We are extremely proud of your accomplishments and I look forward to seeing what will become of you

in the future. Always remember that the Lord has a plan for you and you can always rely on Him.

Please be in prayer for these graduates as they begin a new journey in their life. Pray that they would be

able to discern the will of God in their school/work, and that they would have the courage to rely on

Jesus in this morally unstable culture.

Also, don’t forget VBS dates are June 13th -17th this year; and we will need all hands on deck! If you

haven’t done so already, please prayerfully consider how you can participate in this year’s VBS.

Scripture is very clear when it comes to our responsibilities to our children: “Train up a child in the way

he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it,” (Proverbs 22:6). Remember, both children

and youth scrutinize what we do much more than what we say. What kind of legacy are you leaving

     behind for the younger generation?

In closing, please continue to pray for both the students and the counselors at this year’s youth camp:

Super Summer 2016. While there is nothing magical about the campus of Lake Yale, being in an

environment where Jesus is championed for a full week can have a profound effect on many of these

students who come from non-Christian homes. Please pray that many would realize that the same peace

and joy experienced through Christ at camp can be a reality for them in their everyday lives. Thank you

    for your prayers and support.

    Keep fishing,

    Brian
