Dear Church Family, Well, another school year is almost over. It’s hard to believe that summer is here. Many of you will be taking some much deserved time off, vacationing and spending time with your family. That’s a good thing. But, if you are here, support your church with your attendance and your finances. I especially want to encourage you to be faithful to your LIFE group class. In fact, be intentional about inviting someone to come with you. If you have been in attendance the past couple of months, you know that discipleship has been on my heart. Like many other churches, we have not done a good job of making disciples, which is the mission of the church. In fact, many do not know what that means. I spent eight weeks, on Sunday mornings, sharing what a disciple is. Also, on Wednesday evenings we have just finished an excellent series, “Follow Me”, by David Platt. The one session on the church is one of the best I have ever heard, as he shares the importance of the local church. I desire us to be a church of disciples who are making disciples. That means we share the good news about Jesus with others. Then when people make a decision to follow Christ, let’s help them to grow spiritually. It also means that we will grow as well. Then we want those who have been discipled, to in turn make disciples. That is the New Testament pattern. In a few weeks, I am going to challenge some of you to be a one-on-one discipler of someone that God may direct you to. That will be time well invested. We also want to remember that our LIFE Groups, on Sunday mornings, are avenues of discipling. That remains a great opportunity that we have available. Let’s make the most of it. Let’s be found faithful in these days ! In Christ, Bro. Darrol Bro. Darrol Bro. Darrol Bro. • Dear Church Family,

Well, another school year is almost over. Its hard to believe that summer

is here. Many of you will be taking some much deserved time off,

vacationing and spending time with your family. Thats a good thing. But,

if you are here, support your church with your attendance and your

finances. I especially want to encourage you to be faithful to your LIFE

group class. In fact, be intentional about inviting someone to come with

    you.

If you have been in attendance the past couple of months, you know that

discipleship has been on my heart. Like many other churches, we have not

done a good job of making disciples, which is the mission of the church. In

fact, many do not know what that means. I spent eight weeks, on Sunday

mornings, sharing what a disciple is. Also, on Wednesday evenings we

have just finished an excellent series, Follow Me, by David Platt. The

the importance of the local church. I desire us to be a church of disciples

    Dear Church Family,

First of all, congratulations to all of our graduating high school seniors Class of 2015! Graduating this

    year we have:

Maria Good Jacob Hayley Michael Hutchinson

Courtney Lewis Jacob Murray Nick Riggins

    Joshua Seco

We are extremely proud of your accomplishments and I look forward to seeing what will become of you

in the future. Always remember that the Lord has a plan for you and you can always rely on Him.

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?

To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

June is upon us, and with it the end of my life as a single man! Laura and I will be getting married Saturday,

June 6th at 4PM here in the First Baptist Church Sanctuary. We would like to take this time to remind you

that everyone is invited to both our Wedding Ceremony and Reception afterwards. However, if you plan on

attending the reception at the Avon Park Community Center at 6PM, please sign in to our Wedding Reception

RSVP sheet in the church foyerso that we can prepare for your attendance.

Also, dont forget that June 22nd -26th is this years Vacation Bible School dates; and we will need all hands

on deck! If you havent done so already, please prayerfully consider how you can participate in this years

VBS. Jesus delights in our children and states, Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for

the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these, (Matthew 19:14). Remember, your time and resources

could have an impact not only the life of one of these students, but their everlasting soul. What could be more

    worthwhile?

In closing, please continue to pray for both the students and the counselors at this years youth camp: Super

Summer 2015. Pray that God would work through the counselors in such a way that Jesus would be

magnified in everything they do. Also pray that God would soften the hearts of students before they even

make it to the grounds of Lake Yale to be receptive to the Gospel proclaimed.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

    Keep fishing,

    -Bro. Brian
