Winter Wilderness

DAY 1: Fly from Oslo to Lakselv and transfer into the heart of Lapland to meet your hosts at the remote lodge. Unwind in your forest cabin before enjoying an authentic Norwegian dinner.

DAY 2: Wake to a hearty breakfast. Your hosts will then assist you in preparing for your two-day adventure. Meet your team of huskies and then it’s o� into magnificent landscapes where you will drive your huskies over varied terrain. Lunch is around an open fire surrounded by nature and wildlife. Retreat for the night in a secluded mountain cabin.

DAY 3: Mush your sled-dog team back to the lodge. Trek through striking vistas scattered with moose and native birds. A well-earned dinner awaits you on your return.

DAY 4: Take a morning snowmobile safari to visit a local Sami family and their reindeer herd. Perhaps visit a Sami village and the National Sami Museum. Return to the lodge where you may relax in the outdoor hot tub, hopefully with a Northern Lights display in the sky!

DAY 5 - 9: Transfer to Kirkenes and board your Hurtigruten vessel for your six-day voyage and be prepared to experience the very best of Norway. Hurtigruten sails deeper into the heart of Norway than anyone else. In just six days you will visit over 30 ports of call. This is the ultimate destination focused voyage.

DAY 10: Arrive in Bergen and enjoy two nights’ hotel

accommodation including breakfast. We suggest exploring the Medieval UNESCO-listed Bryggen Quarter.

DAY 11: Today promises to be another highlight. Take a

comprehensive journey through some of Norway’s most magnificent scenery, �ords & the Flam Mountain Railway.

DAY 12: First class train journey from Bergen to Oslo.

Inclusions

Economy class airfare Oslo to Lakselv, Norway (requires at least one

stop). Transfers from Lakselv Airport to Engholm. Five day/four night

Engholm Lodge and Dog Sledding Adventure programme as detailed,

including all meals, all necessary tour equipment, arctic proof cloth -

ing, expert guide and activities as described. Double room at the

Engholm Lodge and dormitory accommodation at the mountain cabin

(all accommodation has shared bathroom facilities). Transfers from

Engholm to Kirkenes to join your Hurtigruten voyage.

Five night/Six day Hurtigruten Classic Voyage South, including full

board. (13 day package departures include six night/seven day

Hurtigruten Classic Voyage North). Two nights’ accommodation at

the Neptun Hotel (or similar) in Bergen, including European breakfast.

Norway in a Nutshell Day Tour. Bergen round-trip. First class direct
