About DSP&S At MT.SacHistoric PerspectivesPrior to the mid-1970s, the Counseling Department attempted to serve and accommodate the small number of identified students with disability conditions.The year of 1979-80 marked a significant change in the program.In 1986, the department of rehabilitation award the college a grant to develop a career placement component, Workability III.In 1987, the department changed its name from Handicapped Students Services to Disabled Student Programs & Services.
