Minister Pisoni said the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) rollout across South Australia will require the
disability workforce to increase between an estimated 10250 to 12550 full-time employees by 2020 which
represents a workforce gap of around 6000 jobs
ldquoThis pilot program for the disability sector will help close the gap as a part of Skilling South Australia involving a
$203 million investment to create 20800 apprenticeships and traineeships over four years which is supported by
the Federal Governmentrdquo he said

From 1 February 2019 new price control arrangements will be in place for participants with complex needs who
require higher skilled staff members to deliver some of their supports The current two level system of price
controls for assistance with self-care and social and recreational activities will be replaced with three price levels A
Temporary Support for Overheads of 25 per cent will also be applied to levels 2 and 3
Pricing improvements for complex needs are summarised below
The changes are explained in more detail on the website

TRANSPORT AND CARE SURVEY 2018 - SUMMARY REPORT
Carers SA conducted a research project investigating transport issues across metropolitan and regional South
Australia The summary of our finding is available on the Carers SA website It is designed to support transport
advocacy strategies across sectors and allow community and carer concerns around transport (and supported
transport) to be heard
DISABILITY ADVOCATE APPOINTED FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Hon Michelle Lensink Minister for Human Services announced the appointment of Dr David Caudrey as
Disability Advocate to strengthen and promote the interests of people with disability during the implementation of
the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Dr Caudrey starts his role in January 2019 and will be independent of disability service delivery His responsibility is
to identify and improve systemic issues arising from the disability reform process including the introduction of the
NDIS Dr Caudrey has a long history working in the disability sector having held positions including Executive
Director of Disability SA and CEO of Novita Childrenrsquos Services
The Disability Advocate is part of the Office of the Public Advocate and will work closely with the Public Advocate
the Department of Human Services the National Disability Insurance Agency sector partners and community
advocacy organisations

CURRENT FUNDING ROUND - NDIS JOBS AND MARKET FUND(ROUND 1)
The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the NDIS
Jobs and Market Fund
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a significant social and economic policy reform representing
one of the largest job creation opportunities in Australia Achieving choice and control for participants requires a
well-functioning market of NDIS providers from which empowered NDIS participants are able to choose quality
services that meet their needs To support this vision the NDIS workforce needs to grow by approximately 90000
full-time equivalent workers to support 460000 participants at full scheme
The objective of the JMF is to support the growth of the NDIS provider market and workforce in capacity and
capability to meet the needs of NDIS participants Round 1 is only the first of several opportunities to apply for
funding under the JMF

INTEGRATED CARER SUPPORT SERVICE CARER GATEWAY REGIONAL DELIVERY PARTNERS
The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver services under the
Integrated Carer Support Services from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2024 This grant process will select a new network
of Carer Gateway regional delivery partners (RDPs) across Australia to help carers access new and improved local
and targeted services including

Minister Pisoni said the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) rollout across South Australia will require the
disability workforce to increase between an estimated 10250 to 12550 full-time employees by 2020 which
represents a workforce gap of around 6000 jobs
ldquoThis pilot program for the disability sector will help close the gap as a part of Skilling South Australia involving a
$203 million investment to create 20800 apprenticeships and traineeships over four years which is supported by
the Federal Governmentrdquo he said

From 1 February 2019 new price control arrangements will be in place for participants with complex needs who
require higher skilled staff members to deliver some of their supports The current two level system of price
controls for assistance with self-care and social and recreational activities will be replaced with three price levels A
Temporary Support for Overheads of 25 per cent will also be applied to levels 2 and 3
Pricing improvements for complex needs are summarised below
The changes are explained in more detail on the website

TRANSPORT AND CARE SURVEY 2018 - SUMMARY REPORT
Carers SA conducted a research project investigating transport issues across metropolitan and regional South
Australia The summary of our finding is available on the Carers SA website It is designed to support transport
advocacy strategies across sectors and allow community and carer concerns around transport (and supported
transport) to be heard
DISABILITY ADVOCATE APPOINTED FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Hon Michelle Lensink Minister for Human Services announced the appointment of Dr David Caudrey as
Disability Advocate to strengthen and promote the interests of people with disability during the implementation of
the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Dr Caudrey starts his role in January 2019 and will be independent of disability service delivery His responsibility is
to identify and improve systemic issues arising from the disability reform process including the introduction of the
NDIS Dr Caudrey has a long history working in the disability sector having held positions including Executive
Director of Disability SA and CEO of Novita Childrenrsquos Services
The Disability Advocate is part of the Office of the Public Advocate and will work closely with the Public Advocate
the Department of Human Services the National Disability Insurance Agency sector partners and community
advocacy organisations

CURRENT FUNDING ROUND - NDIS JOBS AND MARKET FUND(ROUND 1)
The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the NDIS
Jobs and Market Fund
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a significant social and economic policy reform representing
one of the largest job creation opportunities in Australia Achieving choice and control for participants requires a
well-functioning market of NDIS providers from which empowered NDIS participants are able to choose quality
services that meet their needs To support this vision the NDIS workforce needs to grow by approximately 90000
full-time equivalent workers to support 460000 participants at full scheme
The objective of the JMF is to support the growth of the NDIS provider market and workforce in capacity and
capability to meet the needs of NDIS participants Round 1 is only the first of several opportunities to apply for
funding under the JMF

INTEGRATED CARER SUPPORT SERVICE CARER GATEWAY REGIONAL DELIVERY PARTNERS

of Carer Gateway regional delivery partners (RDPs) across Australia to help carers access new and improved local

From 1 February 2019 new price control arrangements will be in place for participants with complex needs who
require higher skilled staff members to deliver some of their supports The current two level system of price
controls for assistance with self-care and social and recreational activities will be replaced with three price levels A
Temporary Support for Overheads of 25 per cent will also be applied to levels 2 and 3
Pricing improvements for complex needs are summarised below
The changes are explained in more detail on the website

TRANSPORT AND CARE SURVEY 2018 - SUMMARY REPORT
Carers SA conducted a research project investigating transport issues across metropolitan and regional South
Australia The summary of our finding is available on the Carers SA website It is designed to support transport
advocacy strategies across sectors and allow community and carer concerns around transport (and supported
transport) to be heard
DISABILITY ADVOCATE APPOINTED FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Hon Michelle Lensink Minister for Human Services announced the appointment of Dr David Caudrey as
Disability Advocate to strengthen and promote the interests of people with disability during the implementation of
the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Dr Caudrey starts his role in January 2019 and will be independent of disability service delivery His responsibility is
to identify and improve systemic issues arising from the disability reform process including the introduction of the
NDIS Dr Caudrey has a long history working in the disability sector having held positions including Executive
Director of Disability SA and CEO of Novita Childrenrsquos Services
The Disability Advocate is part of the Office of the Public Advocate and will work closely with the Public Advocate
the Department of Human Services the National Disability Insurance Agency sector partners and community
advocacy organisations

CURRENT FUNDING ROUND - NDIS JOBS AND MARKET FUND(ROUND 1)
The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the NDIS
Jobs and Market Fund
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a significant social and economic policy reform representing
one of the largest job creation opportunities in Australia Achieving choice and control for participants requires a
well-functioning market of NDIS providers from which empowered NDIS participants are able to choose quality
services that meet their needs To support this vision the NDIS workforce needs to grow by approximately 90000
full-time equivalent workers to support 460000 participants at full scheme
The objective of the JMF is to support the growth of the NDIS provider market and workforce in capacity and
capability to meet the needs of NDIS participants Round 1 is only the first of several opportunities to apply for
funding under the JMF

INTEGRATED CARER SUPPORT SERVICE CARER GATEWAY REGIONAL DELIVERY PARTNERS

Minister Pisoni said the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) rollout across South Australia will require the
disability workforce to increase between an estimated 10250 to 12550 full-time employees by 2020 which
represents a workforce gap of around 6000 jobs
ldquoThis pilot program for the disability sector will help close the gap as a part of Skilling South Australia involving a
$203 million investment to create 20800 apprenticeships and traineeships over four years which is supported by
the Federal Governmentrdquo he said

Carers SA conducted a research project investigating transport issues across metropolitan and regional South

DISABILITY ADVOCATE APPOINTED FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Hon Michelle Lensink Minister for Human Services announced the appointment of Dr David Caudrey as
Disability Advocate to strengthen and promote the interests of people with disability during the implementation of
the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Dr Caudrey starts his role in January 2019 and will be independent of disability service delivery His responsibility is
to identify and improve systemic issues arising from the disability reform process including the introduction of the
NDIS Dr Caudrey has a long history working in the disability sector having held positions including Executive
Director of Disability SA and CEO of Novita Childrenrsquos Services
The Disability Advocate is part of the Office of the Public Advocate and will work closely with the Public Advocate
the Department of Human Services the National Disability Insurance Agency sector partners and community
advocacy organisations

CURRENT FUNDING ROUND - NDIS JOBS AND MARKET FUND(ROUND 1)
The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the NDIS
Jobs and Market Fund
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a significant social and economic policy reform representing
one of the largest job creation opportunities in Australia Achieving choice and control for participants requires a
well-functioning market of NDIS providers from which empowered NDIS participants are able to choose quality
services that meet their needs To support this vision the NDIS workforce needs to grow by approximately 90000
full-time equivalent workers to support 460000 participants at full scheme
The objective of the JMF is to support the growth of the NDIS provider market and workforce in capacity and
capability to meet the needs of NDIS participants Round 1 is only the first of several opportunities to apply for
funding under the JMF

INTEGRATED CARER SUPPORT SERVICE CARER GATEWAY REGIONAL DELIVERY PARTNERS

Integrated Carer Support Services from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2024 This grant process will select a new network
of Carer Gateway regional delivery partners (RDPs) across Australia to help carers access new and improved local
and targeted services including
needs assessment and planning

information and advice
targeted financial support packages with a focus on supporting employment education respite access and
transport
access to emergency crisis support and

disability workforce to increase between an estimated 10250 to 12550 full-time employees by 2020 which
represents a workforce gap of around 6000 jobs
ldquoThis pilot program for the disability sector will help close the gap as a part of Skilling South Australia involving a
$203 million investment to create 20800 apprenticeships and traineeships over four years which is supported by
the Federal Governmentrdquo he said

From 1 February 2019 new price control arrangements will be in place for participants with complex needs who
require higher skilled staff members to deliver some of their supports The current two level system of price
controls for assistance with self-care and social and recreational activities will be replaced with three price levels A
Temporary Support for Overheads of 25 per cent will also be applied to levels 2 and 3
Pricing improvements for complex needs are summarised below

From 1 February 2019 new price control arrangements will be in place for participants with complex needs who
require higher skilled staff members to deliver some of their supports The current two level system of price
controls for assistance with self-care and social and recreational activities will be replaced with three price levels A
Temporary Support for Overheads of 25 per cent will also be applied to levels 2 and 3
Pricing improvements for complex needs are summarised below

TRANSPORT AND CARE SURVEY 2018 - SUMMARY REPORT
Carers SA conducted a research project investigating transport issues across metropolitan and regional South
Australia The summary of our finding is available on the Carers SA website It is designed to support transport
advocacy strategies across sectors and allow community and carer concerns around transport (and supported
transport) to be heard
DISABILITY ADVOCATE APPOINTED FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Hon Michelle Lensink Minister for Human Services announced the appointment of Dr David Caudrey as
Disability Advocate to strengthen and promote the interests of people with disability during the implementation of
the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Dr Caudrey starts his role in January 2019 and will be independent of disability service delivery His responsibility is
to identify and improve systemic issues arising from the disability reform process including the introduction of the
NDIS Dr Caudrey has a long history working in the disability sector having held positions including Executive
Director of Disability SA and CEO of Novita Childrenrsquos Services
The Disability Advocate is part of the Office of the Public Advocate and will work closely with the Public Advocate
the Department of Human Services the National Disability Insurance Agency sector partners and community
advocacy organisations

CURRENT FUNDING ROUND - NDIS JOBS AND MARKET FUND(ROUND 1)
The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the NDIS
Jobs and Market Fund
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a significant social and economic policy reform representing
one of the largest job creation opportunities in Australia Achieving choice and control for participants requires a
well-functioning market of NDIS providers from which empowered NDIS participants are able to choose quality
services that meet their needs To support this vision the NDIS workforce needs to grow by approximately 90000
full-time equivalent workers to support 460000 participants at full scheme
The objective of the JMF is to support the growth of the NDIS provider market and workforce in capacity and
capability to meet the needs of NDIS participants Round 1 is only the first of several opportunities to apply for
funding under the JMF

Minister Pisoni said the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) rollout across South Australia will require the
disability workforce to increase between an estimated 10250 to 12550 full-time employees by 2020 which
represents a workforce gap of around 6000 jobs
ldquoThis pilot program for the disability sector will help close the gap as a part of Skilling South Australia involving a
$203 million investment to create 20800 apprenticeships and traineeships over four years which is supported by

From 1 February 2019 new price control arrangements will be in place for participants with complex needs who
require higher skilled staff members to deliver some of their supports The current two level system of price
controls for assistance with self-care and social and recreational activities will be replaced with three price levels A
Temporary Support for Overheads of 25 per cent will also be applied to levels 2 and 3
Pricing improvements for complex needs are summarised below
The changes are explained in more detail on the website

TRANSPORT AND CARE SURVEY 2018 - SUMMARY REPORT
Carers SA conducted a research project investigating transport issues across metropolitan and regional South
Australia The summary of our finding is available on the Carers SA website It is designed to support transport
advocacy strategies across sectors and allow community and carer concerns around transport (and supported
transport) to be heard
DISABILITY ADVOCATE APPOINTED FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Hon Michelle Lensink Minister for Human Services announced the appointment of Dr David Caudrey as
Disability Advocate to strengthen and promote the interests of people with disability during the implementation of
the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Dr Caudrey starts his role in January 2019 and will be independent of disability service delivery His responsibility is
to identify and improve systemic issues arising from the disability reform process including the introduction of the
NDIS Dr Caudrey has a long history working in the disability sector having held positions including Executive
Director of Disability SA and CEO of Novita Childrenrsquos Services
The Disability Advocate is part of the Office of the Public Advocate and will work closely with the Public Advocate
the Department of Human Services the National Disability Insurance Agency sector partners and community
advocacy organisations

CURRENT FUNDING ROUND - NDIS JOBS AND MARKET FUND(ROUND 1)
The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the NDIS
Jobs and Market Fund
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a significant social and economic policy reform representing
one of the largest job creation opportunities in Australia Achieving choice and control for participants requires a
well-functioning market of NDIS providers from which empowered NDIS participants are able to choose quality
services that meet their needs To support this vision the NDIS workforce needs to grow by approximately 90000
full-time equivalent workers to support 460000 participants at full scheme
The objective of the JMF is to support the growth of the NDIS provider market and workforce in capacity and
capability to meet the needs of NDIS participants Round 1 is only the first of several opportunities to apply for
funding under the JMF

INTEGRATED CARER SUPPORT SERVICE CARER GATEWAY REGIONAL DELIVERY PARTNERS

of Carer Gateway regional delivery partners (RDPs) across Australia to help carers access new and improved local

targeted financial support packages with a focus on supporting employment education respite access and
transport
access to emergency crisis support and

Carers SA conducted a research project investigating transport issues across metropolitan and regional South
Australia The summary of our finding is available on the Carers SA website It is designed to support transport
advocacy strategies across sectors and allow community and carer concerns around transport (and supported
transport) to be heard
DISABILITY ADVOCATE APPOINTED FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA
The Hon Michelle Lensink Minister for Human Services announced the appointment of Dr David Caudrey as
Disability Advocate to strengthen and promote the interests of people with disability during the implementation of
the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Dr Caudrey starts his role in January 2019 and will be independent of disability service delivery His responsibility is
to identify and improve systemic issues arising from the disability reform process including the introduction of the
NDIS Dr Caudrey has a long history working in the disability sector having held positions including Executive
Director of Disability SA and CEO of Novita Childrenrsquos Services
The Disability Advocate is part of the Office of the Public Advocate and will work closely with the Public Advocate
the Department of Human Services the National Disability Insurance Agency sector partners and community
advocacy organisations

The Australian Government is inviting applications in an open process to apply to deliver projects under the NDIS
Jobs and Market Fund
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a significant social and economic policy reform representing
one of the largest job creation opportunities in Australia Achieving choice and control for participants requires a
well-functioning market of NDIS providers from which empowered NDIS participants are able to choose quality
services that meet their needs To support this vision the NDIS workforce needs to grow by approximately 90000
full-time equivalent workers to support 460000 participants at full scheme
The objective of the JMF is to support the growth of the NDIS provider market and workforce in capacity and
capability to meet the needs of NDIS participants Round 1 is only the first of several opportunities to apply for
funding under the JMF

of Carer Gateway regional delivery partners (RDPs) across Australia to help carers access new and improved local

information and advice
targeted financial support packages with a focus on supporting employment education respite access and
transport
access to emergency crisis support and
assistance with navigating relevant local services available to carers through federal state and local
