    IntroductionFollowing the National conference National Conference on Disability and accessibility rights that wasorganized by the National Council for Persons with Disabilit ies at KICC (25th 27th June 2012), there is anurgent need to mainstream the important resolutions into organizational development agenda. This workshopseeks to insert disability in the world of cooperation, in the politics that create cooperation, in employment, indevelopment, in public sector, in the private sector and in the design of institutional/organizational projects aswell as take stock of the achievements so far in line with the disability act of 2003, the new constitution andVision 2030 while brainstorming on what needs to be done.

    Themainfocusoftheprogrammewillbe:1. Establish formal frameworks and mechanism and for mainstreaming disability at the workplace.

    2. Accessibility compliance issues3. Evaluate the ISO standards for effective inclusion of disability for certification purposes.4. Engage the development partners, private sector and public service on the frameworks in place to

    achieve minimal accepted mainstream levels and establish evaluation mechanisms for the same5. Examine the lesson s learnt and best practices from the mainstreaming of gender at the workplace in

    both the developed and developing world.6. Establish a consensus on a targeted and concrete strategy for Promoting inclusion of disabled people in

    to the development agenda in order to accomplish disability mainstreaming in the long run7. Interrogate the application of the laws in the new constitutional dispensation on disability mainstreaming8. exchange good practices in the field of disability mainstreaming in the framework of the European

    ImpactoftheprogrammeCreatinganinclusivesociety:Mainstreamingdisabilitybasedonthesocialeconomyexample:Social Economy is a specially favourable environment for equal opportunities. The needs of disadvantagedpeople need to be taken into account in the design of all policies and measures, and that action for the samepeople is not limited to those policies and measures which are specifically addressing their needs.Disabilitymainstreamingintheemploymentstrategy:People with disabilities are one of the groups whoare most disadvantaged as regards their participation in the labour market. The Employment Strategy has agreat deal to offer for people who run a high risk of exclusion from the labour market. Relevant elements shall bepresented for discussion.ISOCertification,disabilityandergonomicsattheworkplace:From your visual comfort at the computerscreen (ISO 9241) to the mental workload experienced at the office (ISO 10075), ergonomics is at the centre ofall types of work situations and how comfortable we are in those working situations. The goal of ergonomics inthe workplace is to eliminate worker exposure to occupational hazards e.g presence of ramps at every staircase
