“Pass it On…”

• DGAC works to “pass on” our system so our clients can become independent.

• We will work to certify engineers in our road building system.

• We consider success when our client is able to turn around and train others.

• DGAC directors want to leave something behind - Better, longer lasting and less expensive

Properly constructed and maintained roads save lives and transform economies!

How Long Can a Road Last?

Page 7: DirtGlue AfriCon Polymer Pavement

Some Roman roads have lasted over 2000 years!

How did these Roman roads last for so long?? • Proper drainage • Interlocking aggregate • Proper base

Page 8: DirtGlue AfriCon Polymer Pavement

DirtGlue Road Building System

• Incorporates Macadam road building technique

• John Loudon MacAdam perfected the roman method by the 19th century

John Loudon MacAdam

Page 9: DirtGlue AfriCon Polymer Pavement

Based on the Macadam Road Building System using interlocking stones to create a strong, durable, load-bearing road

Cross section of a Macadam road illustrates crushed stone of various sizes together with fine aggregatethat interlock to form road

Adding DirtGlue Polymer to the Macadam Road Building System creates a wear surface that: Is water repellent (Notice sidewalls & drainage areas are fortified against erosion)

Has elasticity * Minimizes the damage of the freeze/thaw cycle

Is cost effective

DirtGlue Road Building System

• Effective Drainage

• A Solid Base

• Proper Aggregate (19mm minus, crushed w/20% fines)

• Appropriate Road Geometry (crown)

• Proper Equipment

• Training & Certification - 99% of all failures are installation errors - Must be trained by DirtGlue Certified Installer (DCI) - Installation performed by DCI or under DCI oversight

Industrial

Superior Two Component Water Repellent Wear Surface

Page 12: DirtGlue AfriCon Polymer Pavement

Aqueous solution based on Organo-Silane formulation - Imparts hydrophobicity (water repellency) on cohesive and inferior in-situ high plasticity, expansive soils (clay) - Conditions poor quality clay soil to a fully functional gravel substitute - Imparts water repellency on conditioned, cohesive gravel

How it works:

Prevents capillary water uptake resulting in: - Permanent load-bearing strength - Greater stability - Minimizes impact of freeze/thaw cycles

Additional feature: TerraDry can be used to replace subgrade and base

Industrial

Powerful, high-tech Acrylic bonding agent specifically engineered to bond soil particles together - Can be used with colorants - Capable of creating robust and durable driving surfaces

How it works:

Penetrates the surface, binding with the soil to form a tough durable three dimensional matrix layer of protection and combines superior film strength and adhesive properties

The value you recieve when using dustless for your operations

Safe, clean and non-toxicOne application delivers long term dust controlProtection is reliable on all kinds of agrigate/soil typesDoes not freeze in cold weatherMaintains traction, no slippery surfaceDoes not evaporateDoes not wash away

Specially formulated to absorb into the individual soil particles rather than surround and "float" the particle as does water. By absorbing in and not surrounding the particle the individual particles remain in direct contact with each other keeping the soil surface firm, good coefficient of friction

(traction), no stickiness thus no tracking. The product is not alkaline, it is not acidic, it is non-corrosive, and non-hazardous. Effective dust control last for about one year (9 -16 months). Watering is never required. Climate or humidity are not factors. It does not wash away or dilute in rain events. Reapplications after the initial application are done at a much lower rate to renew

highly effective, long lasting control.

Gen. Salomon (Ret.) of Plexus Scientific recommended DirtGlue Enterprises’ DustLess product to Gen. Larry Lust (Ret.), of KBR for use in Bagdad. In order to give the KBR group examples of what the military is doing with DustLess in Iraq, MSgt. J. Scott Moore (USMC), Eng Ops, Al Taqaddum, Iraq provided the following information. MSgt Moore is currently applying substantial quantities of DustLess at Camp Fallujah. KBR will use DustLess at military camps for dust mitigation and Gen. Stephen Mundt HQDA (Army Aviation) will use DustLess in Kandahar.

Dustless application Al Taqaddum, Iraq: Three separate pre-selected sites were sprayed with Dustless dust abatement product using a 900 gallon hydroseeder with small nozzles inserted in the spreader bar attachment. The weather was hot and sunny and the temperature was above 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The hydroseeder was pulled by a John Deere 644E (TRAM). The team consisted of three (1345) heavy equipment operators.

“I would be glad to answer any questions anyone has about your product. Dustless is just another weapon in our arsenal to try to reduce the impact dust has on our operations here. The aviation community relies heavily on dust abatement to be successful in their missions here. As you can imagine, it would be very hard to land a helicopter when you cannot determine where the ground is located. Your product actually serves a two fold purpose. It not only suppresses the dust it changes the color of the surface soil for a visual aid reference as to where the ground surface is actually located. I have been working on dust abatement issues in the Marine Corps for the past five or six years. The Dustless product is easy to apply, easy on equipment, and minimal clean up is required after use. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.”

PotHoleGlue has been specifi cally formulated as a multi component system producing a catalyticreaction to create a powerful, durable and easy to apply solution for a well known problem.

The PotHoleGlue system uses three components: 1. PotHoleGlue (dry polymer & powdered catalyst - charcoal colored) 2. RAP/Aggregate (3/8” minus Recycled Asphalt or similar aggregate / minimum 20% “fines”) 3. Water

[The RAP and/or aggregate, as well as the water, is sourced locally by the applicator]

Compared to the widely available petroleum based products, PotHoleGlue has some unique and beneficial characteristics:

- Excellent bonding capabilities to fine particles, asphalt, aggregate, and other organic or inorganic substrates- Seals to the edge of the break- Superb curing characteristics at or above freezing temperatures- Remarkably simple application process- Exceptional chemical, thermal and ultraviolet light stability- Environmentally benign

Properly applied, the result is a durable, tough pothole repair that creates a strongbond between the applied aggregate and the surrounding asphalt. Considering all these

characteristics, PotHoleGlue is a superb alternative to conventional, more harmful and lesseffective methods such as cold patch.
