the baseboards without lifting it. Then run it

up and down the room, like mowing the

lawn, again not lifting the mop. Lifting the

mop allows larger debris to get under the

mop pad, which can scratch the floors.

• Use the hose attachment on you vacuum to

run the perimeter of the room and suck up

any trapped dirt near the baseboards.

• Using a spray bottle, mist the floor lightly

with water, or a cleaner specifically

formulated for wood floors or just use

water. Do not use vinegar on a wood floor.

• After lightly misting a small area, use a

separate microfiber pad that is labelled for

wet use and mop the area following the

grain of the wood.

Continue spray • to as you go. The floor

should dry behind you. Never dump a bucket

of soapy water on a wood floor, it will warp,

split, and generally need replacing really

quickly.

Puloot Bridge, Trichur - Kodungaloor RoadA fine example of design and structural qualities, this bridge was built over Kodungaloor Lake by Mather. The bridge is also known to have the longest span between pillars. Today, It has become a part of National Highway 17. Circa: 1960.

Thottapally Bridge, Alleppy- Kollam RoadConstructed across the Kuttanad Lake, This bridge is the result of one of the earliest bridge-building technologies devoloped in the 50s. The bridge arrested the mixing of seawater with river water used for cultivation and made possible a much-needed road link between Alleppey and Kollam for boosting trade and transport in the State and has become a part of National Highway 47.
