Objectives: Increase safety, efficiency, capacity through reduced fragmentation and reduced complexity:

The four regulations contain directly applicable provisions as well as delegation of powers to the Commission for establishing implementing rules

12/2006-03/2007 : Commission received several expressions of interest from “Industry” (representing > 1 billion € in contributions)

27/02/2007 Council adopted the Regulation establishing the SESAR JU

16/03/2007 Commission presented its Communication on the state of progress of SESAR
