VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Martha is a kind, lovely lady who always is so willing to help at our center. She is a talented dancer and is one of the participants in the two big celebrations we have at our center. Hermelinda knows that she can rely on Martha all of the time. Martha helps in the kitchen whenever needed to serve lunch. She is the wife of our newly elected Nutrition Site Council President, Chuck Sanchez. We will call her the first lady of the center for at least a year. Thanks, Martha, for your cooperation and participation with the different activities that happen here and for being such a good example to others!
The City of Azusa Recreation and Family Services Department would like you to be aware that the Azusa Senior Center Code of Conduct is available at the Senior Center front desk.
VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH Hermelinda Ocampo is a wonderful, outgoing lady who stays busy. You will see Hermelinda riding her tricycle to our center to do more exercise! Twice a year or more she’ll take a trip to Mexico. If not on a vacation to Mexico, she’ll take a cruise or often she’ll go on the enjoyable trips we offer here. She loves to dance and cele-brate with the fun activities we have available. Hermelinda is busy lady, but that doesn’t stop her from coordinating two big popular events that take place here. She recruits, intructs, and lends her costumes to seniors for the Cinco de Mayo and Mexi-can Independence day celebrations. They are always a big hit and the participants as well as those in the audience enjoy the festivities.
Thanks, Hermelinda, you’re terrific!
