Shanmugam, I.A.S., Chief Secretary, Shri S.Krishnan, I.A.S., Additional Chief

Secretary, Finance Department, Shri Harmander Singh, I.A.S., Additional Chief

Secretary, Municipal Administration & Water Supply Department and Shri M. N.

Manjunatha, I.P.S., ADGP & Chairman &Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Police

Housing Corporation regarding potential areas of HUDCO financial assistance for

the various development projects of Govt. of Tamil Nadu and its agencies.

On 12.12.2019, DCP interacted with Honourable Deputy Chief Minister of

Tamil Nadu Shri O.PanneerSelvam who is also the Minister of Finance, Housing &

Urban Development, Govt. of Tamil Nadu wherein the Chief Secretary and Additional

Chief Secretary (Finance) also participated. Shri D.Guhan, Executive Director and

Shri S Thangaraju, General Manager (Projects) of Chennai RO accompanied DCP

for the above interaction. During the interaction, it was informed by the Govt. of Tamil

Nadu that a package of schemes would be finalised within a month and posed to

HUDCO for financing and the package would include Housing Projects for the EWS

under the

Interaction with Hon’ble Shri O. PanneerSelvam, Deputy Chief Minister, GoTN

vertical of Affordable Housing in Partnership of PMAY, Govt. rental quarters for LIG

& MIG segments, Core Infrastructure projects like water supply, Land acquisition for

area development for housing/laying of new roads and towards investment in Shelter

Fund which is a new model being experimented in Tamil Nadu for financing

Affordable Housing Schemes. The Deputy Chief Minister, GoTN sought reduction in

HUDCO’s rate of interest for PMAY schemes and assured that the Govt. of Tamil

Nadu would extend its support to HUDCO.

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri O. PanneerSelvam today (12.12.2019) in the

Secretariat. They discussed HUDCO financial assistance to be extended to the

various housing programmes of Govt. of Tamil Nadu. Shri K Shanmugam, IAS, Chief

Secretary, Shri S Krishnan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department

and Shri Krishnamurthy Vijayan, Chief Executive Officer of Tamil Nadu Infrastructure
