Suzanne Rotolo, PhD, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P, CFN, CFC Course Instructor
Dr. Rotolo was the Clinical Manager of the Forensic Assessment and Consultation Team (FACT) and a Forensic Nurse Educator at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She is recognized both regionally and nationally as an expert in forensic nursing. Dr. Rotolo has served as faculty, lecturer and instructor for numerous programs and conferences on sexual assault.
Course Details
Course Overview/DescriptionThe Maryland Board of Nursing requires completion of the Forensic Nurse Examiner Pediatric course and subsequent clinical training to apply for certification as Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE-P). The course provided at GBMC is approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON). Persons interested in becoming certified as an FNE-P must already be a certified FNE-A.
The FNE-P (SAFE nurse) provides services for victims of sexual assault, ages 12 and under.
