A. The government should make as few rules as possible on industry to grow the economy and create as many jobs as possible.

B. The government should pass strict environmental laws to regulate industry and reduce damage to the environment andsave animal species.

C. When appropriate, business should be regulated to protect the environment, but otherwise it should be left alone to make as much profit as possible.

Question 2

A. The government should not pass any more laws to restrict gun ownership in America.

B. Only the police and military should carry gunsin the United States. Citizens should not have guns.

C. Background checks should be more strict, but law abiding Americans should be allowed to own guns if they choose.

A. Oil drilling should be increased in the U.S. to lower prices and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

B. The U.S. government should spend all federal money on alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power.

C. The U.S. should slowly reduce spending on oil while increasing investments in wind and solar.

A. It should be OK for the principal to say a Christian prayer after the pledge in the morning at school.

B. There should be no prayer in public schools.

C. A moment of silence is OK, but there should not be one religion singled out and taught inn schools.

A. The U.S. government should toughen the laws on immigration, let in very few immigrants, and deport all illegal immigrants.

B. The U.S. is made up of immigrants and everyone deserves a chance. Peaceful illegal immigrants should be given a chance to pay back taxes and become citizens.

C. The current immigration plan seems to be working OK.

A. The government should not tax wealthy citizens more than anyone else. Everyone should be taxed at the same rate.

B. The government should tax wealthy citizens more to help poorer citizens.

C. The wealthy should pay a little more in taxes and the government should make sure people given the money really need it.

A. The U.S. should continue to spend over 50% of it’s budget on defense. We must be strong.

B. The U.S. government should decrease defense spending a lot and increase spending on social programs a lot.

A. The death penalty should be legal in all 50 states for people that kill someone.

A. It is not the government’s job to ensure all Americans have health insurance. People should take responsibility and take care of themselves.

B. All U.S. citizens have the right to health care. The government mustensure we all have it.

C. If a reasonable government program offered health insurance to all Americans, I would support it.

A. People and businesses should be able to build whatever they want on their property.

B. If someone buys land, and endangered animals live there, the people or business shouldn’t be allowed to build there.

C. A compromise should be found in which the animal can be relocatedand the home can be built.
