1. USB Audio & HID can be also complex as Siemens M34 providing access to DECT network2. Connection can be established to SoftPhone application from any DECT portable part3. Simultaneous calls between DECT PP and MD110 in parallel with internal/external calls of other DECT PPs to PSTN or ISDN4. Various Siemens base stations PSTN/ISDN with 6-8 portable parts and small PBX functionality5. SoftPhone, thus MD110 side, can place receive calls on external PSTN/ISDN line

(Planned 2006 Q1)

Mikica B Kocic
1. SoftPhone can run on Microsoft Pocket / Mobile PC 2003 or SmartPhone2. PDA should have wireless LAN (802.11) support3. It can have bluetooth headset, instead of fixed one4. In case of SmartPhone, it can be also connected to GSM network5. If it is 3G SmartPhone, it is possible to connect over 3G and IP to remote DEX28, and not to be bound with 802.11 to single place

All DTSs have full control of D channel, thus having same Display Information and ability to press keys simultaneously.

Mikica B Kocic
1. SoftPhone can be used to control D channel in parallel with DEX28 connected DTS2. Multiple SoftPhones/DTS can be connected to same port3. All DTS/SoftPhones are showing same information on display (this requires that all are of the same type)

Mikica B Kocic
1. Another DTSs (more than one) can be used to control D channel in parallel with DEX28 connected DTS (called primary)2. All DTS/SoftPhones are showing same information on display (this requires that all are of the same type)3. Keys kan be pressed simultaneously (in parallel) on all DTSs acting on single ELU28 port

(Planned 2005 Q4)

Mikica B Kocic
1. OWS/PC can directly connecto to VCTA (Virtual CT-Adapter) module running on switch side DEX282. On extension side OWS/PC is connected using USB to DEX283. Extension side DEX28 is implementing CT-A protocol on USB having telnet service connected to remote VCTA4. USB instead of RS2325. Limitation: DEX28 has 2 DTS ports but single USB thus supporting only one 1st party control this way

(Planned 2005 Q4)

Mikica B Kocic
1. OWS/PC can directly connecto to VCTA (Virtual CT-Adapter) module running on switch side DEX282. On extension side OWS/PC is connected using virtual COM port device driver directly connected over TCP/IP to switch side DEX28 VCTA module3. Nothing but the software replacement instead of real CT-A4. Single DEX28-GE2P can support both OWS/PC connected to it with VCTA

1. Ultimate picture -- no real DTS-- no need for DEX28 on extension side2. SoftPhone together with VCTA and OWS software3. Sound can be delivered in any previous shown way (e.g. by DECT or bluetooth)4. If OWS/PC and OWS software with DNA is down and not running, it is not a drawback having SoftPhone as well down. Otherwise with DTS and DEX28 on extension side (previous slide) one could have DTS running and OWS down, thus having non-controllable DTS.

Voice Recording

CF 1÷4GB

Voice & D Channel Recording

Recorded Voice and Log Files are accessible on the Windows network.

(With proper authorization.)

Recorded Voice and Log Files are copied to

one or multiple Ethernet Hard Disks (100÷500GB)

MD110orBP

(3 channels per DEX28-GE6P)(27..120 hours of continuous voice)

(3400..17000 hours of continuous voice)

Mikica B Kocic
1. Two consequtive ports and DASLs work in passive repeater mode2. Voice and D channel is recorded localy on compact flash with size 1 to 4 GB having space for 27 to 120 hours of continuous voice3. This temporary files are transferred to one or multiple Ethernet Hard Disks having capacity of 100 to 500 GB i.e. for 3400 to 17000 hours of continuous voice4. Disks can be on physically different locations providing disaster free storage5. Voice files (in wave format) are accessible from Windows network or by NFS in UNIX network

Mikica B Kocic
1. DEX28 on extension side can have SIP user agent plug-in2. DTSs are behaving like Human Interface Device (keyboard and display) with Audio3. Thus SIP "SoftPhone" is running on DTS enabling DTS to enter SIP network (with SIP proxies/registrars and SIP gateways)

Mikica B Kocic
1. SIP gateway module running on DEX28 on switch side can register ELU28 extension as SIP gateway ponit2. SIP equipment can receive/place calls on ELU28 extension3. This is provided by SIP gateway module having builtin inteligence to "read" display information on virtual DTS
