DIPLOMA IN PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY MANAGEMENT Course Objective This Diploma course equips students with sound knowledge and industry practices of contemporary procurement and supply management. This course comprises 4 modules: two taught modules of Purchasing Management (PM) and Warehouse Management (WM); one module of Online Learning (OL) on purchasing or warehouse management; and one module of Research Project (RP) that requires students to undertake a project on industry practices in the specialised field of procurement and supply management. Course Duration & Frequency This part-time course can be completed within six months. The course is intensive and requires students to attend the class sessions either once or twice a week. Delivery & Assessment Our faculty comprises highly experienced practitioners with the requisite academic and professional qualifications. The Online Learning module provides flexibility for students to learn at their own pace, and after completing the learning videos they will take an online examination. The Research Project module requires students to attend regular class sessions so that they can be closely guided to complete the project requirements. In this module, students are assessed on two assignments and a short presentation. In each taught module of PM and WM, students will sit for an examination at the end of the module. Students are also expected to search relevant websites for the purposes of learning and research. Admission Criteria An applicant must be at least 25 years old, have at least 3 years of relevant work experience, and have a qualification not lower than a Diploma recognised by SIPMM. Those with SIPMM Executive Certificate can be considered. Applicants are advised that this is a management level course, and the stated criteria are consideration for admission approval.
