E- Learning is a highly flexible way to study. It enables you to learn at your own pace and choose study times that suit you. The only fixed dates are the final examinations. You do not need to wait for specific start dates - you can begin learning at any time.

The School of Dental Nursing offers:

Trainee Adult Learners 18+. It is designed for people already working in a dental practice or wishing to start a career in the Dental field and gain a qualification that will allow them to become a fully qualified Dental Nurse. This will then allow them to extend their experience and open up a range of exciting additional opportunities including: Radiography, Oral Health Education, Sedation Nursing, Implant Nursing, Orthodontic Nursing or Fluoride Application. Qualified Dental Nurses may also progress into other roles of dentistry such as: Tutor, Witness or Mentor, Practice manager, Dental technician, Dental hygienist, Dental therapist or Dentist.

Students have the opportunity to aend a school centre for course induction where you will learn about the course opportunities, meet the support team and the real life tutors who will deliver the course online and act as your main contact for learning. You are also provided with the opportunity to attend a mock tests so that we can assess your progress and give you advice and support to prepare for the actual exam.

Online: Full course documentation is provided through our Virtual Learning Environment

(VLE)-eTrain which includes: learning materials, notes, and mock tests. This enables you to engage and learn when you want to and from the comfort of your home or wherever you are at your own pace. You just need internet connectivity.

Email and phone support: Is available from your designated tutor as well as our administrative team. Although you are learning online you have the support of our expert staff at all times.

Site visit: All students are required to gain work experience in a Dental placement. This can be your current practice or the School will assist you in finding a suitable placement. During the course of your study your tutor will visit you at your placement to provide support and advice.H
