dinCloud Helps Streamline Zebra Technologies’ Employee Onboarding Process

dinCloud announced on February 17th that Zebra Technologies, a global leader in products and services that provide real-time visibility into organizations’ assets, people, and transactions, selected dinCloud to implement its hosted virtual desktops to simplify the onboarding process of over 550 employees following its acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise business in October 2014.

“During the POC stage, dinCloud’s team produced, made changes, and provisioned desktops on the spot, allowing us to see the speed at which they could help us onboard our new employees,” said Dave East, IS manager, global client engineering, Zebra Technologies.

“Today, the speed and ease of use of dinCloud’s cloud automation portal, dinManage, aligns well with Zebra’s efforts to build one company with unparalleled capabilities and leading global brands in our industry.”

George Leopald included commentary from dinCloud’s CSO, Garret Grajek, in an article about fake SSL certificates enabling a variety of security threats.

"We have seen man-in-the-middle attacks for years -- there is no reason to suspect these attacks to lessen despite the ominous warnings the browser manufacturers have put in place concerning 'invalid server certificate,'" said Garret

Grajek, CSO at dinCloud Inc., a provider of virtual desktops and cloud security services in Gardena, Calif. "Hackers count on most (or some percentage) of users to just 'click through.'“

dinCloud’s CMO, Ali Din, shared his expertise, weighing in on how critical technical skills are in marketing.

“Marketing is no longer about gut feel. With digital marketing being such a large aspect of the way prospects and buyers approach a brand, marketers can be precise in their targeting, and more importantly, in their refinement. Marketing is about testing. Having technical skills and an understanding of the tools and technologies is essential for any marketer — whether they are in B2C, B2B, or even catering to the public

sector. Experimentation comes from having the right tools, asking questions, testing a hypothesis, adjusting levels in different marketing channels, and reviewing the impact. With all these levers and channels, having tools is the only way to consolidate and get a grasp on this

information.”

In March, Bernadette Wilson wrote an article about the education IT market offering more opportunity and included commentary from dinCloud’s CSO, Garret Grajek.

“Education was one of the first adopters of the cloud with technologies from Google, Blackboard, and now Office 365. The sector has the most obvious challenge — rapid provisioning and deprovisioning — which

the cloud offers,” Grajek explains. “And it’s not just for students; it’s for teachers, assistants, administrators, and can even be used for curriculum. All these uses need resources quickly spun up and torn down. The

cloud offers this in rapid deployment and management of storage, servers, and data.”
