Located in the village of Dinas Powys, less than five miles from Cardiff city centre, the stunning new development of
three and four bedroom detached homes at The Woodlands is ideally located to enjoy village and city life.
The Woodlands is being developed by Edenstone Homes, who have a growing reputation across South Wales and the
South West of England for providing highly sought-after, quality homes in outstanding locations, with acclaimed specification.
At the gateway to the Vale of Glamorgan, yet within 10 minutes of Cardiff Bay and the historic seaside town of Penarth,
Dinas Powys is ideal for commuting or enjoying the very best of the surrounding area.

WELCOME TO THE WOODLANDS
Adjacent to Shortlands Wood, The Woodlands is perfect for those wanting to explore the surrounding countryside with an
abundance of woodland walks, trails and cycle routes for all ages and abilities, on your doorstep.
Local walks from the site lead across the moors towards Sully and the coast. To the north of Dinas Powys, the renowned Salmon Leaps walk is a five mile round trip from the centre
of the village taking in a glacial valley, wooded ravine, cascades and, if you’re lucky, the occasional leaping salmon.
The woodlands and meadows of Cwm George and Casehill, managed by the Woodland Trust, offer an extensive network
of paths and bridleways and the ancient monument of Dinas Powys hill fort, dating back to 450 BC.

Dinas Powys is distinctive - within easy reach of Cardiff, it also retains its’ sense of traditional village life.
Within a short walk of excellent local primary and infants’ schools, the village boasts a range of independent shops,
a supermarket, restaurants, pubs and a deli. The railway station is even closer than the village centre, with a frequent service
to Cardiff Central station or westwards towards Barry.
Relax on the village green or on The Common where you can play or watch cricket and rugby, depending on the season.
For the more active, further leisure facilities include tennis, golf and bowling clubs.

Cardiff city centre is Wales’ leading shopping destination, offering a contemporary shopping experience with modern
brands and established department stores, as well as Victorian arcades, featuring artisan traders and cafés full of character.
In Cardiff Bay, Mermaid Quay features a wide range of eateries and a vibrant nightlife. International sporting and concert
venues throughout the city provide an abundance of entertainment options.
Moving along the coast, Penarth, with its historic pier and esplanade, and Sully are both within easy reach of
The Woodlands. The coastal path will lead you onwards past Barry towards the stunning Heritage coastline or inland to the quaint villages and towns of the Vale of Glamorgan.
