2.5.5 Emergency Overdraft Function
The relay will be disconnected when the current balance of meter is 0, and users couldn’t use electricity unless recharging. For reasons that users can’t recharging, the emergency overdraft function can be turned on so that users can use electricity. The emergency overdraft function is choosable and takes effect only by permision.
Under emergency overdraft mode, the meter balance continues to be accumulated on negative value, and the relay will be disconnected again when the meter balance plus overdraft amount is less than or equal to zero. Emergency overdraft function can only be used 1 time, and recovered until the next recharging, the overdraft amount will be automatically deducted at the next time recharging.

2.5.6 Friendly Mode
The meter has two control modes: Normal mode and friendly mode. Friendly mode is choosable and takes effect only when started. Under friendly mode, the relay can not be disconnected even if current meter balance is insufficient at specified holidays or someday or some time (such as at night) in order to ensure the users basic electricity usage, but the balance continues to be accumulated on negative value.
Friendly holiday: The electricity will be friendly interruption of power supply at specified holidays, the default holidays are 20 days.

Note: Friendly mode is closed normally.
2.5.7 Prepaid Mode switchover
The meter supports changing over between prepaid mode and post-paid mode by communication, and the prepaid
mode can be activated and closed. The remaining balance of meter will not be deducted and the alarm and
disconnection will not work if the balance is insufficient or in arrear when the prepaid mode is closed. There will be
a billing record when the mode is switched.
2.6 Split Prepayment
2.6.1 CIU/UIU Pairing
The meter and CIU are different devices, they can communicate normally only when they are paired.

3.5 Attention Matters
Please contact the supplier asap if the meters have obvious damage mark caused by violent impact or dropping when the box is opened.
After getting out from the packing box, the metershould be placed on flat and safeplane, front up, stacked upless than 5 layers. The meter should be wrapped back into the original packing box if it is not installed for usage within a short period.
Please contact the supplierif product type or appearance of meterin the original packing box does not match. Please contact the supplier asap and do not installor power on if the internal packing orexternal cover damaged when the meter getting out from packing box. Please check the lead sealing of both sides is OK or not, for those meters lack of or without lead sealing, do not install for usage and please contact the supplier asap.
3.6 Installation Instructions
The installation of the meter requires experienced electrician or professional person, and make sure that this manual have been read. During installation, if the meters have obvious damage markscaused by violent impact or dropping, please do not install or power on and contact the supplier asap.
The meter should be installed in ventilated and dry place, making sure that the installation and usageare safe、reliable, the meter should be put into protection cabinet in case it may be damaged at foul or other unsafe place.
The meter has two upper hooks, 2 bottom installation holes, which can be fixed with M4 * 15 tapping screws. Making the holes ready on the bottom plate accordingto the back installation size figure, and the base should be fixed on object that is solid, fireproof and not easy to shake.
The meter should be wired correctly according to wiring figure. It is recommended to use copper wire or
copper connectors as the inlead of wiring terminal block, the screws of terminal block should be tightened to
avoid bad contact or fire caused by fever of thin lead wire.
Wiring according to the terminal mark, the main circuit: 1-4 for the entrance and exit lines of phase wire, 2-3
for the entrance and exit lines of neutral wire; Auxiliary terminal: 21-22 for the calibration pulse output
line;23-24 for the MBUS communication port.
