Temperature measurement using wireless transmission:
WithDigiTemp-EWirelessyoucanreceivethetemperaturemeasurementresultswirelessly.LocatednearthehandleoftheoptionalQUBEmeasurementlanceistheQUBETbattery-poweredwirelesstransmissionmodule,whichtransfersthetemperaturemeasurementdatadirectlytotheDigiTemp-EWirelessinstrument.Upto1000measurementscanbetakenusingtheQUBETwithitslong-lifelithiumionbatteries.Thebatteriesarechargedusingthededicatedchargingstation.
Theever-increasingdemandsonmeasurementtechnologyrequiretheintegrationofnewelectronicshardware,interfaces,andinparticularthesoftware.
TheinnovativeDigiTemp-EWirelessinstrumentfullymeetstheseexpectations.Itsfeaturesarereliability,easeofuse,andflexibilityinapplication.
TheDigiTemp-EWirelessmeasuresandanalyzesthetemperatureinsteel,iron,andnon-ferrousmelts.SensorsareconnectedtotheinstrumentthroughwiredlancesorwithmanuallyoperatedQUBEwirelesslances.

Inadditiontotheconventionalimmersiontemperaturemeasurementinmoltensteel,theDigiTemp-EWirelesscanbeadaptedforothermeasurementtasksinmoltensteel.Thisisdonebyusingamenuinsidetheinstrumenttosetparametersfordifferentmeasurementsensorsusedforimmersiontemperaturemeasurementsin:
• steel,iron,andnon-ferrousmeltswithPositherm®dis-posableprobes;
• ironmeltswithMulti-Stik®andMaxi-Stik®reusableprobes;and
• non-ferrousmetalandaluminium.
Thefunctionaloperationoftheinstrumentiseasyandfullyautomatedandalsofeatures:
• password-protecteddeviceconfigurationusinganinternalLCDandbuttons;and
• backupandrestoreoftheinstrumentparametersusinganintegratedandremovabledongle.
TheDigiTemp-EWirelesshasthreeuser-orienteddatainterfacesandfourcontroloutputsasstandard.

Theinstrumentcandetectbathlevelinmoltensteelandironwheninwiredoperation.ThisisdoneusingourPositherm®immersionthermocoupleconnectedtoanautomaticlance.
Machine-specificinstallationsarenotneededwiththismethodofbathleveldetection.

MeltControl 2020 software
TheDigiTemp-EWirelessinstrumentscanbenetworkedwithaPCusinganEthernetinterface.WiththemeasurementdatasoftwareinstalledonthePC,youcanremotelyanalyseandsavethemeasurementsequences,results,andcurvesoftheDigiTemp-EWirelessinstrument.
DigiTemp-EWirelessinstrumentparameterscanalsobesetusingMeltControl2020.MeltControl2020isaserverapplicationandcanbeusedwithWindows7®.
