Based on our IoT-P (Internet of Things Platform), we offer a range of Customer/Subscriber/Device-Centric Products, Services and Solutions to obtain insights into the subscribers’ real network experience and also to simulate and predicts subscriber behaviour. Further to this, we also offer a Network Survey solution that allows Operators and Vendors to survey and record network assets while automatically updating a centralised database.

Based on our NL-P (Network Layer Platform), Digitata Networks’ offer Configuration-, Performance- and Asset-Management products, services and solutions. Our Network Centric offerings are designed to transparently Monitor, Audit, Control and Automate functions and elements throughout all major mobile technologies (2G, 3G, 4G) across multi-domains (RAN, TX, CS-Core, PS-Core, IP-Core*), independent of the equipment vendor.

NetSurv is a Site Surveying app that resides on a handset or tablet with fully integrated back-end allowing centralized quality control for site audits, acceptances and progress tracking.

NetCM is a configuration management product that provides visibility, highlights configuration inconsistencies in parameter configurations and allows for corrections to be made (automated or semi automated)

NetVU is a Key Performance Indicator Monitoring product that allows monitoring of KPIs and Revenue Trends in a network. It is focussed on management and engineering, providing correlation between configuration changes and network performance.

NetAM is an Asset Management product that can monitor and track both Live and Passive Assets within a network (down to board serial numbers).

NetCSS is a Customer and Service Simulation Product that simulates the behaviour of a group of subscribers in the network.

NetCE is a Customer Experience app that resides on the handsets of the subscribers. It monitors the customer’s experience of the network and reports back to a centralised server for further analysis by network engineers.

NL-P is our in-house developed enterprise data warehouse to extract, translate and load structured network data from various sources, into a centralised database. The NL-P’s database forms the basis of all our Network centric products.

Configuration Management Data is extracted from the different vendor OSS/NMS systems. This is either done by executing specific MML commands directly on the network nodes and saving the results, and/or by downloading XML files from the various OSS’s.

The raw PM counter data is extracted from the various vendor OSS systems in csv or xml format. KPI’s are cyclically calculated by aggregating PM counters over time & network elements

Any data can be extracted from External Databases via the 3rd party DB connector. These include databases from planning tools, optimisation tools and inventory management systems, etc. Data can be imported from xls or csv files

Import, display and correlate Customer/Subscriber/Device-Centric data, obtained from our products built on our IoT-P, with Network Data captured on our NL-P.

NL-P can be rapidly deployed and integrated to the RAN, CS-Core, PS-Core and TX network elements. The deployment of NL-P is very flexible and can either be deployed on physical H/W, or hosted in the cloud.

NetCM is a configuration management product, built on our Network Layer Platform. Once NetCM is integrated to all network nodes, it offers Visibility, Auditing, Control and Automation capabilities across all vendors, technologies and domains.

NetCM enables an engineer to compare the live network with the planned network, identify any discrepancies between the two and correct the discrepancies.

Not only can NetCM be used on an OpCo level, but can also be used at a Group level to compare the various OpCo’s configuration health index with one another in clearly defined dashboards.

NetCM reports on common configuration issues in the network, and can also be customised with bespoke reports as required by an operator.

If NetVU is installed, configuration changes can be correlated with changes in performance

Data is extracted from the network automatically, and fixes to the configuration issues identified can be automated to run into the network at pre defined times.

NetAM is an Asset Management solution that can discover and track both Live and Passive Assets within a MNO. NetAM resides on our NL-P (Network Layer platform) and can be integrated to all the main Network elements of a MNO

Depending on the OEM, live assets of the RAN, CS-Core, PS-Core and TX network elements is automatically discovered and tracked (add, delete, move). Further to this, Network Licences and Features can also be tracked through NetAM

Through NetAM, the S/N of Active Network Assets are automatically uploaded in regular intervals, and Asset additions, removals and movement is recorded in the database over time.

NetAM has strong reporting capabilities. There is a great number of standard asset tracking reports available, but custom reports can also easily be created. Reports can be exported in .pdf and .csv file formats and can be automatically sent via email.

The NetAM DB is integrated with our NetSurv DB via and API to allow for active and passive asset correlation. NetAM could also be integrated to external solutions via a ODBC or API link.

NetAM can be integrated to other solutions (such as RFID, Bar Code) and the passive network elements can be correlated to the same topology and active assets in the MNO.

NetVU is a Network Performance Monitoring product built on our Network Layer Platform. Once NetVU is integrated into all network nodes, you are able to monitor Key Performance Indicators and Revenue* Trends in a network.

The KPI dashboard contains configurable dials with different key performance indicators. It’s a quick snapshot to see how the network is performing. The dashboard supports drill down features which provide more info about the KPIs.

The Analyser allows the user to select Network Elements, KPIs or counters and a time frame, which results in different charts and tables with the corresponding data.

Standard as well as customised reports on KPIs and Revenue* can be viewed or emailed on a regular basis.

If NetCM is installed, configuration changes can be correlated with changes in performance.

The Topology of the TX network can be viewed, to identify if any hub sites with KPI issues may be impacting a larger portion of the network.

NetCE is a Customer Experience app that lives on the handsets of the subscribers. It monitors the customer’s experience of the network and reports back to our IoT Platform for further analysis by network engineers.

For normal subscribers the app will run in passive monitoring mode. This means it will collect data about call quality, call drops etc, in the background without the subscriber having to do anything. This data is then sent to a centralised server.

NetCE can be used to ensure that Corporate SLAs are being fulfilled. All subscribers that fall under a particular corporate SLA can install the App on their device, which then provides data from the passive monitoring that can be used to generate SLA reports.

Customers can log complaints directly on the App, and receive feedback on these complaints. The Operator can view the complaints in the backend, with added data such as subscriber location and signal level.

Engineers can use the App in active monitoring mode in order to perform drive tests. The data is collected along the route and uploaded to the centralised server for quick analysis of problem areas.

If many subscribers have the app installed, the operator essentially ends up with a multitude of network quality testers. If multiple people in the same area are experiencing a similar problem, the engineers can react quicker to fix the problem.

NetCSS is a Customer Service Simulation solution that can be used to simulate different calling or data session scenarios in the network by making use of devices that can be controlled remotely.

NetCSS makes use of multiple android devices connected to a controller allowing for remote access and control of these devices. A NetCSS deployment may include multiple distributed controllers.

The NetCSS solution can be used to control the Android devices that will be used in the simulation. These devices can then be configured to perform certain tasks such as initiate and answer calls or start data sessions.

The backend of NetCSS is used to configure the service simulation tests that need to be run. The devices that need to be involved in the test can be selected, the various tests can be chosen and the time or conditions under which the service should be conducted

NetCSS utilises an intelligent algorithm to select the appropriate devices to conduct a simulation based on all the devices available in the pool. This intelligence ensures load distribution and maximum utilisation of all devices available within the system

NetCSS allows full remote control of the pool devices including the ability to mirror a device display and control it from a remote location. This function allows quick tests to be conducted as if the user had physical access to the device

NetSurv is a Site Surveying app that resides on a handset and/or tablet, fully integrated to our IoT (Internet of Things) platform allowing for centralized scheduling and control of site surveys and asset audits.

Passive network assets (such as Batteries, Aircons, Generators, etc.) can be regularly surveyed and manually captured via our NetSurv App. This information is stored in our NetSurv Centralized DB.

Site or Asset Survey templates are created with the NetSurv Backend. The manual surveys are conducted using our NetSurv app. Information such as S/N, Photo’s, Text inputs, Geo-location, antenna Azimuth / Tilt (Antenna). can be captured

The backend of NetSurv is built on our IoT platform, allowing the administrator to setup a survey template and distribute to all surveyors. All surveys are automatically uploaded to the DB and can be audited in near real time

• Digitata Networks Group Dashboard provides a way for the different OpCo’s within

a Group to have their configuration health index compared with one another.

• Different configuration errors are identified within the network and assigned a

severity based on their impact on network performance. (Critical, Major, Minor)

• A penalty is then calculated taking into consideration the number of errors as well

as the severity.

• This penalty is then normalised based on the number of cells in the network.

• This allows for networks of different sizes to be compared with one another.
