VFX 110: Digital Typography Instructor: Neal Nieberding Project 2: Movie Type Poster Project Objective: Create a movie poster (current movie or fictional) that contains mostly all type with limited imagery/and or Illustrations (at most 2 additional graphic elements – any more requires approval from instructor) Project Requirements: 1. On the computer, piece of paper (8.5” x 11”), or in your notebook or sketchbook, create 5 detailed sketches of movie typographic posters. All sketch ideas must be different!!!(AS) 2. Of your 5 sketches choose your best and create 1 digital file for a final composition – 12” W x 18”H. (AS) Notes: 1. Remember, choosing the right font is critical to supporting your imagery in this piece. 2. It is recommended to use Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign for this project. 3. Project Due: Tuesday, August 12 @ 6pm 4. Create a folder and label it lastnamefirstname. Inside the folder include of your 5 sketches, and final composition. (AS – worth 2 points) Take pictures of anything not done on the computer (ex. sketches) and include in your folder for final turn in.
