ViArchive Overview ViArchive provides user friendly solutions for uploading video clips with metadata (searchable file info and keywords) adding metadata to files and along the timeline of videos organizing files in project folders searching and retrieving archived video clips recollecting whole clips or parts of clips in the format needed. ViArchive can be integrated with other archiving solutions for complete, advanced solutions covering images, video and other file formats.

1.Uploading with ViArchive XPRESS Files without metadata are hard to search for. ViArchive XPRESS allows texting of video files at upload. Additional functionality Filling in metadata automatically: An autofill function allows metadata to be automatically added from existing databases. Cutting out a segment: Some times all you want to upload is a small part of a clip. ViArchive XPRESS allows you to cut out and save segments from clips to prepare them for upload. Search & Organize Searching & browsing archives: Search in archives provides hits from all metadata; file info as well as keywords along the timeline. Browse archives for new uploads and tagged files. Videos are streamed, so they are quick to view and navigate. Organizing files: Users can organize clips in virtual project folders. Copy / move files to other archives. Adding text / metadata: Metadata on video file: Adding and editing metadata on files (eg. title, description, creator and keywords). Retrieving Clips: Cutting & Downloading Cutting clips User friendly: Cutting a clip can be done by dragging arrows on the time line or setting time codes. Format, size and quality can be adjusted in order to suit any need. All cutting and transcoding is done from the original high res files on the server. Clips can be cut one by one or added to a batch list for batch cutting of multiple files later on. Downloading clips Files can be easily downloaded by FTP or HTTP directly from the console. A monitoring function allows users to see queues and status of server side transcoding. ViArchive 2.0 Standalone

3. Integration with existing archives: ViArchive 2.0 Plugin The ViArchive plugin allows the video archive to be integrated with other archiving systems, like for example FotoWeb from FotoWare. The plugin is installed on the server, no installation on local machines is necessary. The viewer is positioned alongside of the search hits. This makes browsing and comparing several files content and metadata quick and easy. Indexing, archiving and searching videos is seamlessly integrated and the clips are streamed without downloading.
