How do we consume digital tech nowadays? • Digital technology can be consumed using personalisation. For example the use of design and

editing things such as websites, banners and flyers. Digital Technology can also include things like connectivity which involves things like talking to others through social media. Connectivity also involves things like Bluetooth which means that you can connect two devices together. Interactivity is used through the users use of controlling the content such as moving image etc. Convergence is the communication used within technology. These communication can involve things like talking through mobile phones as well as computers.

Interactivity• Interactivity: Digital technology uses digital code to transmit signals and information between

different devices. Some examples of digital technology includes:• I Pod• I phone• I pad

Personalisation• Personalisation, consists of creating a service or a product to target specific individuals,

sometimes tied to groups or segments of individuals. • Example could be that; designing a website, creating a poster. • Evaluation states that it is eye-catching and could attract attention from the viewer.Advantage• A wide variety of organizations use personalisation to improve customer satisfaction, digital sales

conversion, marketing results, branding, and improved website metrics as well as for advertising. Disadvantage• Personalization is very time consuming. For example creating a service can take ages to do

depending on what type of service it is.

Immediacy • Immediacy consist of the quality of bringing one into direct and instant involvement with

something, giving rise to a sense of urgency or excitement.Advantage • Advantages could include the right to collect taxes and tolls. Disadvantage• Disadvantages could include the direct intervention by imperial commissions.

Access• Access - The means or opportunity to approach or enter a place. • Advantage• Easy to install and use, Finite – Microsoft Access is useful for

individual departments or small-to-medium business sectors. • Disadvantage• Any sector whose usage goes beyond 2 GB will hit a wall and discover

limitations.

Convenience• Convenience - the state of being able to proceed with something

without difficulty. Convenient foods have become widely popular especially among working class people, teenage children, people living in hostels, bachelors, sharing rooms etc.

Portability• Portability – The use of a device or a gadget.• Advantage • It has the ability to watch on all devices. • Watch it on multiple platform.• Disadvantage • Too complex to use.

Connectivity• Connectivity – the state of being connected or interconnected. • Advantage• The ability to talk to people in other countries. • Disadvantage• Details to be attacked, fraud.
