Blogger: I have used Blogger throughout my coursework in order to present my research, planning and evaluation posts. Instead of just using plain text to present these posts, it allowed me to embed other technologies, making my work more super visual. If I didn’t use the advantage of embedding other technologies then my blog would appear plain and uninteresting. Google Docs: I used Google docs in order to create a survey to gather information which I sent out to a range of people. Without using this technology I wouldn’t have been able to gather the vital information that I needed for my research which would have made the planning more difficult due to not knowing what my target audience expected. Microsoft Word: I used this technology in order to create certain posts to make them appear more visual and interactive which allowed my research, planning and evaluation posts seem more professional. Bubbl/ Mapmyself: I used Bubbl and Mapmyself to create online interactive mind maps to brainstorm ideas in responses to certain blogs posts and then embed them onto my blog. By using these technologies it allowed me to creatively plan out my ideas and responses so that it was easier for me to see and take valuable information from which helped me through this

Blogger:I have used Blogger throughout my coursework in order to present my research, planning and evaluation posts. Instead of just using plain text to present these posts, it allowed me to embed other technologies, making my work more super visual. If I didn’t use the advantage of embedding other technologies then my blog would appear plain and uninteresting.Google Docs:I used Google docs in order to create a survey to gather information which I sent out to a range of people. Without using this technology I wouldn’t have been able to gather the vital information that I needed for my research which would have made the planning more difficult due to not knowing what my target audience expected.

Microsoft Word:I used this technology in order to create certain posts to make them appear more visual and interactive which allowed my research, planning and evaluation posts seem more professional.

Bubbl/ Mapmyself:I used Bubbl and Mapmyself to create online interactive mind maps to brainstorm ideas in responses to certain blogs posts and then embed them onto my blog. By using these technologies it allowed me to creatively plan out my ideas and responses so that it was easier for me to see and take valuable information from which helped me through this whole project such as the conventions of a music video.Final Cut Express:I used Final Cut Express mainly throughout the construction of my music video so I could edit and piece together the footage that had been shot. It is straight forward software to use and creates a very professional final looking piece. If I chose to not use this software I feel that my final piece wouldn’t look nowhere near as professional as it does and would have lost a certain amount of the essence of my concept which is communicated to my target audience.

Prezi:I used Prezi to create an interactive presentation to make it more interesting for viewers which allowed me to embed videos and images into it to create an effective presentation. This technology allowed people to swiftly view my presentation which intrigued them to read the information within them as I could also embed YouTube videos and images which helped with my explanation.Apple Mac:I used a Mac in order to complete the majority of my work on. Mainly importing footage and clips and using Final Cut Express to edit together my music video and to construct my digipack and advert on Photoshop. Without this vital piece of technology I would have been unable to carry out a vast amount of work.

Stage lighting kit:This was used in order to create a specific lighting effect to use in the music video, digipack and advert so a specific mood was created. It was easy to use due to the buttons on the back allowing us to change the functions and colouring of the lights. I feel that the use of this piece of equipment really helped to incorporate the energetic and vibrant convention of my genre of Disco Pop within my music video, digipack and advert which also allowed there to be a link between each other them, creating a solid package.

Digital SLR Camera – Cannon 1100d:We used a Cannon 1100d camera for multiple tasks of shooting the footage for our music video and taking the images needed for the digipack and also the advert. We chose to use this instead of an ordinary camcorder due to the high quality it possessed. If I chose to use a simple HD camera I feel that the quality of the footage would have been much less effective in creating a clear, professional piece of work. The use of the high quality of this camera allowed me to capture the performance of the artist clearly so that when editing the footage together it allowed it easier to experiment with the order and sync up the lyrics to the lip syncing of the artist.

Facebook:Facebook was a good choice of technology as it allowed me to upload and share my music video so that I could receive feedback from multiple people which were part of my target audience. Without using this social networking site I don’t think I would have been able to collect some of the effective feedback I received on my final products in order to improve them and apply more conventions to them.SD memory card reader:Seeing as the Macs didn’t have a memory card slot, one of these had to be used to import the footage and images. This was highly important in getting the footage I had shot onto the mac in order for me to edit it together on Final Cut Express or edit the images I had from the photo shoot on Photoshop.
