When used in combination with Nikon’s latest digitalSLRs, the D70 or D2H, the SB-600 supports AdvancedWireless Lighting as a remote Speedlight that canbe positioned as one of multiple remote flashes tosignificantly extend creative possibilities. To assist insuch situations, the Speedlight SB-600 also has twoReady Lights located on both the left and right of thefront that can be easily seen from a distance. TheSB-600 can also emit an audible alert for furtherassistance.

Auto FP High-Speed Sync enables the use of Fill-Flash even in bright daylight with wide aperturesettings for the achievement of outstanding resultsand new creative possibilities, including the effectiveblurring for of out-of-focus background elements.

An optional color filter set SJ-1 is also available,allowing imaginative shooting to be pushed evenfurther.

White balance is optimized through the use of flashcolor information obtained by the Speedlight. TheSB-600 also features FV lock, which gives the userthe convenience of being able to maintain themeasured flash value while recomposing the shot toachieve the appropriate flash output for the subject.

It also offers uncomplicated operation made simplerby an easy-to-view LCD with only six buttons, eachof which is backlit and simple to understand.The Nikon Speedlight SB-600 also delivers plenty ofstyle, both in its compact dimensions and a triangularmotif consistent with the Nikon D-SLR theme.

The Nikon Speedlight SB-600 comes complete witha Speedlight stand and a soft case, while two flashcables (the SC-29 and SC-28) and the Color FilterSet (SJ-1) are available as options.

At 800m above sea level, surrounded by hills, paddy fields and bamboo plantation. Everyevening, the same scene of sunset would be inspiring and like new piece of art. The hills,plantation and forestation provided the permanent backdrop but the ever-changing cloudpatterns, the sky and moon draws the expectation of looking forward to seeing the sunseteveryday.

Started it as a hobby back in 1997 with a FM10but soon changed it to a FM2 with MD-12 attached.He finds the FM10 not hardy enough so he wentto the shop and told the salesman "I want somethingthat can work without battery, strong and rugged,even if I dropped it on the floor, it will still function!"So the FM2 had been with him ever since then.Over the years, he took up assignments mainly withoverseas NGOs basically doing photo documentary.In between assignments, he would take theopportunity to explore whatever interesting andnew environments he encountered with his camera. Black and white people shot with architectural asbackdrop is his favourite. There seems to be endlessstories to be told on each images plus the conceptof being "timeless" made him stay on althoughmonochrome pictures are out of favour now.

NIKON D70 LAUNCH25 February 2004, The Gallery

To make this launched a special and memorableone and for a changed, we decided to hold it atFort Canning – The Gallery instead of our usualstyle at the hotel.

We opt for Zen look as the theme, the ballroomwere decorated with bamboo poles and lightedJapanese lanterns. At the reception, we hadJapanese clad girls serving drinks and a liveJazz band playing light music at the foyer beforethe actual party started.

Our MD, Mr Toru Iwaoka kicked off the partywith a welcome speech, followed by an impressiveTaikoo performance. Shortly after, we had MrDaren Tan (Manager of Asia Tech Office)presenting the D70, Coolpix 3200 & Coolpix2200 while Mr Max Sim (Technical SupportExecutive) presenting the Coolpix 8700.

The rest of the night was packed with games andentertainments. The most entertaining one wasthe “Showtime with Buddy Loren!!!” he made uslaughed our butt off with his jokes andimpersonation of famous artists!

Finally, we rounded off our launch party with 4lucky guests walking away with a Coolpix 5700and 3 sets of Coolpix 2100.
