María del Carmen De la Flor

Holds a Master Degree in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Houston. Has a BA in Clinical Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and a Diploma in International Marketing from CENTRUM Business School. She is a Research Associate for the University of Houston (Texas).

Before joining Comunica PR Consulting, she served as Hispanic Outreach Coordinator for Montgomery County United Way .

Also, she served as Managing Director for Porter Novelli, Peru. In this position, she advised clients from various industries including: oil and gas, mining, hydropower, real state, consumer, among others.

She has developed communications and stakeholders engagement programs in four countries: USA, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago and Peru.

She served also as Communications Manager for Red de Energia del Peru (REP) and for 8 years , she served as Senior Consultant forTironi and De la Flor advising the World Bank, Telefonica del Peru, Pfizer, Schering Ag, L'Oreal, Johnson and Johnson, among others.

She is frequently invited as a guest speaker at international and local conferences on topics related to intercultural communications and stakeholder engagement. Her research papers have been published in international journals of communications and public relations. She has been professor for the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Perú and for the University of San Martin de Porres.
