WELL HE WAS TOUGH TO GET A HOLD OF, BUT FINALLYWE SAT DOWN FOR COFFEE AND I SHOWED HIM THESE MOCK-UPS.HE STARED AT THEM FOR A FEW MINUTES, AND THEN HE GAVE ME THE “I LOVE IT” STAMP OF APPROVAL.WITHIN A MONTH THE NEW ISSUE HAD A BRAND NEW APPEAL TO THE ART SCENE OF COLUMBIA, SC.

WELL,MY PROFESSOR INSTRUCTED US TO DESIGN A HOLIDAY MAILER FOR A COMPANY OF OUR CHOICE.YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN ON MY RESUME THAT I AM A

WALKING YOU THROUGH SYRUP FLAVORS AND MILK CHOICES AND SIZE OPTIONS.

ONE OF MY FIRST EXPOSURES TO LOGO WORK, WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO CREATE, WITH

ONLY LETTERFORMS,A NEW LOGO FOR A CITY.I’VE ALWAYS LOVED COLORADO. SO I CHOSE BOULDER, COLORADO, HOME OF THE FLATIRONS.

AFTER RESEARCHING THEIR CULTURE, THE TYPE OF PEOPLE THEY ARE, THE BRANDS AND STYLES THAT DEFINE THEM,THE ACTIVITIES THEY PURSUE,I CAME UP WITH THIS DESIGN FOCUSED ON THE OUT-OF-DOORSCULTURE SO PROFOUDLY IMPACTING ON THE PEOPLE OF BOULDER.

MY FRIEND ATTENDS THE CREATIVE CIRCUS IN ATLANTA, GA.THEIR GROUP PROJECT IN CLASS WAS TO CREATE ADVERTISEMENTS FOR OMAHA STEAKS. HE IS A COPYWRITER. AND WHEN THEIR DESIGNER FELL THROUGH ON THEM, CREATING TERRIBLY PIXELATED, LAST-MINUTE DESIGNS,

HE CALLED ME.HE ASKED ME TO REDO THEM SO HE COULD HAVE SOMETHINGGOOD TO SHOW IN HIS PORTFOLIO.I SAID ONLY IF I CAN PUT THEM IN MY PORTFOLIO. THE PROJECT IS STILL IN THE WORKS, BUT FOR NOW IT’S A HULU AD, PANDORA AD, PRINT AD, AND A FEW BANNER ADS AS WELL.

A FARMER’S MARKET.A SHOPPING BAG.A WHOLE LOT OF CONCEPT.FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT I CREATED A SHOPPING BAGFOR AN OPEN AIR MARKET, AND CURATED EVERYTHING ABOUTTHE MARKET MYSELF.

SO THIS SHOPPING BAG IS MADE WITH SOME DARK BROWN BURLAP AND RED THREADING. ALL HAND-MADE, AND DURABLE ENOUGH TO CARRY A BUNCH OF HOME-MADE GOODS.THE HOUSE IS A MARKET TO BRING PRODUCTSFROM THE FARM TO THE CITY.
