5 Reasons why Digital Marketing Agencies Are Booming
1. PrioritizationGiven the number of different digital channels and tactics emerging, most companies don’t have
resources to cover all these programs.
A digital marketing agency can look at specific objectives and help prioritize which channels to focus
on. Since they generally have a methodology for evaluating many different client-types, prioritization
of programs is an area where they are supporting more companies every week.
2. SpecializationMarketing is becoming like medicine: few generalists, a lot of specialists. Digital Marketing agencies

Nielsen Launches Digital Ad Ratings System in India
Marketers who found it
difficult to measure the return on investment (ROI) of their digital campaigns as well as map the
target audience in India can now do so through Nielsen’s new measurement tool called Nielsen
Digital Ad Ratings (DAR).
The new tool can measure all kinds of display and video ads across all digital platforms except
Twitter and Youtube app on mobile phones and tablets. But Nielsen India says that two platforms will
soon be integrated with the new ratings system in India. The new system can measure online
advertising audiences, the reach and frequency of the ad campaigns and gross rating points (GRP)
of the digital ads like age group and gender of the audience who viewed the ad.

DAT is Nielsen’s global tool which it is bringing to India on the back of the explosive digital
advertising growth in India. It is already present in markets like US, Canada, Brazil, Mexico,
Australia, Japan, Singapore, India, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, France, UK,
Italy and Germany.
The company has an arrangement with Facebook, world’s largest social media platform to provide
the backend support and big data information to Nielsen in order to publish this report.Nielsen and
Facebook has a similar arrangement in all other countries where this report is published except in
China where the research agency has an association with Tencent.Marketers, advertising and media
agencies will have to pay Nielsen to access this report.
“The new system will help advertisers and agencies gauge return on in vestment for every rupee
they spend online“, said Prashant Singh, Managing Director, Nielsen India region. According to the
FICCI KPMG 2015 report, the digital advertising industry in India grew from ` . 3,010 crore in 2013 .
4,350 crore in 2014 and recorded to ` growth of around 45%. In 2015, the report predicts that the
size of the digital advertising industry will be approximately ` . 6,250 crore.
“It’s all about measuring people, not devices. Our integration with Facebook allows us to provide
unique audience by counting people and not just the devices they consume content on.This provides
the ecosystem with an accurate measurement of reach and frequency in the digital world, which was
absent so far, added Singh.
The new ratings system will also provide the actual number and demographics of the online
audience and “not just cookies and impressions“, explained Dolly Jha, Executive Director, Nielsen
India and Marketing Effectiveness practice area lead. “You can now analyse your brand’s online ad
campaign just like you would for TV , and print. Moreover, Digital Ad Ratings allows for overnight
measurement for campaigns that will make it possible for clients to apply in-flight changes to their
media plan,“ she added.
Balendu Shrivastava, Head, Marketing Science, Facebook India said, “We are excited that Nielsen’s
global Digital Audience Rating (DAR) solution is now available in India. DAR has brought in the
required measurement standardisation and accountability in delivering digital campaigns. The fact
that advertisers will now get accurate demographics across screens and publishers is a game
changer for digital advertising in India.“
What does Digitalization actually imply?
What is digitalization? If we have to answer this in one single sentence then we can explain it as- the
adoption or increase in use of digital technologies. But this sentence does not behold the whole
concept of digitalization. Digitalization is beyond the inclusion of digital technologies and hence has
a greater meaning.
What is digital technology?
Digital technology refers to devices where information is stored, using the states of positive i.e. ‘1’
and non-positive i.e. ‘0’ – the binary system.
And the process through which a device is transformed into a digital one is known as digitization.

Briefing 2014 –The Global Agenda: Competing in a Digital World”.
He stated, “68 percent said that their investments in digital technologies are primarily focused on
process efficiencies and cost reduction, while just 25 percent said such investments were geared
toward helping the company reach customers. The emphasis is on greater operational efficiency
rather than on growing sales, opening new sales channels, or creating new products or services.”
Companies in U.S are using digitalization as the transformation process of both the revenue
generation and operational gain. So, increasing the use of digital technologies is not enough rather
transforming it in the right way will only define a true digitalized company or a country.

10 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD PURSUE DIGITAL MARKETING FROM IMMC?Apart from the reasons mentioned in the section WHY IMMC there are another 10 reasons I have
pointed out being a student here. IMMC is the first institute in Kolkata who introduced a full one year
course and providing Diploma in Digital Marketing. But becoming the first is not always easy; it has
certain consequences as well. IMMC has not only avoided every obstacle in its way but also
overcame each problem it has faced.
Therefore, for the sake of my fellow students, who are in trouble of choosing an appropriate institute
for them, as once I was, I bring you this post. It will make you aware of the 10 reasons why you
should pursue digital marketing from IMMC.
1. IMMC- a home away from home;
IMMC is more like a family. Yeah! I know many institutions have the same tag line that they have a
homely environment or so, but in IMMC I truly feel very comfortable. The members here will never
make you realize that you are just a student rather you are a part of it. I spend most of the time here
in the institute apart from my classes and do my practice. To me it is like my foster family where I am
welcomed anytime.
2. PERSONAL CARE;
May be you are sitting with 10 other students in the classroom, or may be you are feeling shy to ask
your queries promptly like others, you will never be ignored by the faculty. The faculty members take
individual care of each student and it’s surprising how they easily make out that you are having a
trouble. They solve your each & every query with great patience.
3. You are also an AUTHORITY;
Yes! You are reading it correct. Here, you are recognized as also an authority apart from mere a
student. We all know about institutes where students are only the part of classrooms, but here you
are the part of the whole institute. The well being of IMMC depends on you. Your decision is equally
granted as of the faculty. You are an important and advisory part of the institute and here IMMC is
different from others.
4. THE EXPOSURE YOU NEED;
Every student seeks an exposure, but how many institutions give their students what they want?
IMMC keeps its students in the forefront. Its objective is to be known by the name of their students.
Being a student here, I get the chance to host and participate in many events organized by it. IMMC
has the capability to find the diamond in you.

I was a very shy person few months ago. Coming out of my shell was like impossible for me. But the
learning process I am going through in here is giving me confidence to explore my potentiality
everyday. Now, I host events, take part in debates. It is a great transformation in me. This institute is
not only giving me insights on digital marketing but also enhancing my personality. Let me assure
you that IMMC does not posses any mentality of doing business by selling education, but genuinely
wants to train the students by inducing the required knowledge from every aspect.
6. TEACHES YOU HOW TO SURVIVE IN THE MARKET;
When I started with my classes, I thought IMMC will teach me what digital marketing is, and how I
can pursue it in my future. But after few classes I discovered that the goal of this institute is not only
providing the knowledge of a certain course, but also up skill a student with enough potential to
survive in the market on his/her own. Not just I am learning about digital marketing, but getting the
intricacies of strategies to start as an entrepreneur as well. IMMC is making their every student a
complete package of knowledge, wisdom, confidence, capability and a true marketer.

To start a new educational institute you always have to make certain promises to the students, to
prove yourself better than others. But how many of them can keep their promises?
IMMC has also made promises, but what makes it extraordinary is it never fakes a promise. It fulfills
every promise it has made. To me the institute has promised a better learning process, but it is
giving me more than that. I am proud to be a part of it.

Planting a seed in a pot is not enough to make it a fully grown tree. You have to nourish it day by
day. Likewise, a mind of a student is very delicate and needs the correct and appropriate
nourishment. Here your mind is in the correct hands, you just have to believe in yourself that’s all.
9. UNDERSTANDS YOUR NEEDS;
A student is in need of many things and with every student it differs. Some of us want attention,
some seek help, some are in need of a guide and some just need the answers of their queries.
IMMC understands your needs and help you in every possible way.
10. HOLDS YOUR HANDS FOREVER;
Once you get connected with IMMC, it will hold your hands forever. May be your course is over and
you are employed, may be you have started your own business, no matter where you are, and
