Only authorized users can create and read Ad-ID codes and associated metadata. To learn more about Ad-ID, visit www.ad-id.org. The Digital Ad Slate helps eliminate the rekeying of information about ads by allowing metadata about the advertising asset to be embedded inside the file. Metadata, such as agency, advertiser, product, brand, title, size and more, are stored within the Ad-ID database. There are two forms of Digital Ad Slate: 1. Digital Ad Slate for XMP 2. Digital Ad Slate for MXF This document outlines the steps to begin using the XMP “Flash Panels” for Adobe Creative Cloud. Future documentation will be released regarding Digital Ad Slate for MXF as it becomes available. In order to download the XMP Panels, you should be using the most current version of the web browser to ensure it works properly. If you do not have Adobe Bridge installed on your computer, you will need to download the program before downloading the creative cloud XMP Panels. Please refer to the “Downloading Adobe Bridge” appendix on page 9 of the document. Step 1 Download the creative cloud XMP Panels Download the creative cloud XMP Panels. On this screen, enter your email address and choose your operating system. Click Submit to download. Entering your email address allows us to notify you via email when updated versions of the panel are available. Click submit and the next screen will appear.

Step 2 – Install the creative cloud XMP Panels

Install the creative cloud XMP Panels using the Setup Wizard.

Step 3 – Open Adobe Bridge

Open Adobe Bridge.

Step 4 – Find file in Bridge

Find the file on Adobe Bridge for which you want to create the Digital Ad Slate.

Step 5 – Open the Bridge “File info” panel

Option one: Right click on the asset and click on File Info…

Option two: Click on File in top right hand corner of Bridge and click on File Info…

Step 6 – Enter Ad-ID Code

Click on Ad-ID tab and enter a valid 11 or 12 character Ad-ID Code into the Code field.

Click Import Ad-ID Slate.

Step 7 – Log into the Ad-ID System

The username/password combination must have access to the Ad-ID code on the Ad-ID system.

If you have been directed to use the Ad-ID “demo system” the username must be preceded by “/demo.ad-id.org/” For example: /demo.ad-id.org/[email protected]

If you do not have a username/password, please contact Ad-ID customer relations at [email protected].

Once you enter in the username and password and click Sign In the system will retrieve the Ad-ID Slate information.

Click on OK to Save.

Appendix: Downloading Adobe Bridge If you do not have Adobe Bridge, you can download Bridge for free on the Adobe website. Step 1 – go to www.adobe.com

To download Adobe Bridge, go to www.adobe.com. Click on Menu.

Click on “See all” in the menu screen

Step 2 – Find Adobe Bridge

Scroll down and find Adobe Bridge. Click on Download trial.

Step 3 – Register and Download

If you do not have an existing Adobe log-in, click on Sign Up for an Adobe ID to register and your download will begin.
