Digi paks • Digi paks come in various formats. Each digipak has a front and back cover representing the artist, all include the name of the artist and the title or the song/album, most will include a shot of the artist and some may just have a picture which represents the artist but not an actual picture. On the back conventionally is a track listing. Some artists will have a design on their c.d. whereas some may just prefer a blank c.d. with just their name on it. Some bands or artists will have inserts inside the digipak which will include photos of the artist and/or lyrics of the songs.

HAIM

Leaning against the wall

We took a lot of inspiration from the pop rock band ‘Haim’ due to their style, also the similarity of a girl group. In these particular album covers, they look very carefree and unique which we’d like to relate and express on our own cover.

When shooting pictures for our album cover, we presented similar poses to fit their laid back look.

The clothes this girl group wear are very similar and we also went for a toned down look to fit together.

PARAMORE

Looking different directions

Paramore are a pop rock group, which has a very similar style to our band. We mostly liked the approach of their digi pak photography and font.

This childish font is very simple but effective because it stands out well, when having to choose our band font, we will need to find something that’s fits into those category's but are still original. The band members are all looking

different directions, which creates an interesting effect, making you looking everywhere on the album cover. When shooting our first photography session, we experimented with some of paramour’s looks, which helped us create our own image.

IMAGINE DRAGONS

Using hands

Imagine dragons are a rock band which doesn’t fit our genre, however the font they’ve used on their album looks very indie and different.

On this particular album cover, they’ve used their hands as the main focus. We liked this idea and when we started our photography shoot, we used our hands to symbolise vision, which works well with our band name.
