Digipak 1: Nymph: new millennium prayer

This album is very aesthetically pleasing as the use of clashing colours is very eye-catching and the layering of pastel colours are stereotypically related to fashion and the popular trends in the 60’s. I would like to create something similar to this for my digipak as it is very appealing to me.

For this cd cover the colours used are very vivid and layered to give a very “trippy” effect which means it looks like something you would see when taking psychedelic drugs. There is also the use of animals as in the 60’s to the 80’s animal activists where mainly people who listened and created psychedelic rock music, so animals where also a big part of that culture.

Poster 1: This poster also features the same vivid colours and layering of different vivid shades and floral patterns this is again connected to the fashion of the 60’s as floral patterns and animals are all patterns that where used in many popular clothing items, I think for my poster I will make it using the same vivid colours and floral patterns as it is an instant identifier of this genre of music, so by taking a quick look at the poster you would know that the genre is psychedelic rock.
