We used a black and white edit effect in our music video, which was a main focus to the narrative of the video. We wanted to carry out these theme throughout our digipak as well as our website. This continuous theme creates an iconic image for our band reflecting their genre and style. The locations of the shots we used were also part of our video and would be something that the fans can recognise. The clothing of the girls in our digipak is what we assume are target audience like to wear and therefore they can relate to the band more because of their similar interests. The pencil effect we used allowed us to create an artistic and unique perception of what we want the band to be. We wanted the band to have similar traits to other artists in the same genre but present them in a different way that presents the band as new and current.

We made sure that in the photographs we took of the girls they were not smiling and looked simply relaxed. This highlighted the concept that the band we created is about their music rather than their brand, this is a common goal, which other artists such as Bastille and the Killers aim to achieve. This is further shown by the fact that we haven’t used images of our actual band but rather used people who are associated, for example one of the girls we used for our music video as well.

The shot of the broken window reflects the emotion that our bands album will have, perhaps suggesting anger and frustration; this is what we witness in our ‘Robbers’ music video. The cloud image for the back of our album is also used in reference to our music video, as we used a time lapse of the sky and the clouds to represent the changing times of a relationship, from the good to the bad.
