Front Cover.Immediately there is an image of the singer/star on the front which indicates to the person looking at this cover that this is who the album is by.

The use of pink in the front cover could be done to attract a certain target audience which could be girls between the ages of 10-15.

The font of the title “Selena Gomez & The Scene – A Year Without Rain Deluxe Edition” is quite quirky and simple which could be eye-catching for the viewer and perhaps reflect the types of songs featured in this album. As well as that it is a convention of an album to have a album name on it.

The words “deluxe edition” could also draw the audiences attention because it means there’s more in this album than music.

Back Cover.Conventionally this album contains all the songs featured in this album so that the target audience can see if they’ll like the kinds of music on here. As well as that there is a section on bonus tracks which draws the audiences attention.

On the back cover the audience is then shown what’s included in this deluxe edition as it says that it includes a DVD of behind the scenes photo shoots and music videos.

On this back cover we get to see Selena and The Scene together. The setting in the photo is quite indie looking so it could give the audience an idea on the kind of songs they sing.

At the top of the cover it says the record label that they’re signed to which is “Hollywood Records” and seeing this tells the audience that it could be a pop/hip hop genre of music.

The record label is shown again to let the target audience know that this album was made by “Hollywood Records” indicating that it could be a popular and successful like Hollywood films.

There is a product code at the bottom which enables the outlets to stock the items easily.

Inside Panes.

Once opened there is the CD and again another picture of the singer of this album. However there is actually three panes in this album the first one is where the ‘special thanks’ and the lyrics of the songs are stored. This could enable the consumer to really get involved with the song as they read the lyrics.

The second pane the back cover which shows yet another photo of the main singer. This reiterates to the consumer that she is the main person to listen to in the album.

The third pane is where the CD’s/DVD’s are stored. The DVD is shown in blue and the CD is shown in pink, this allows the buyer to distinguish between the two.
