Digipak What is a Digipak? A Digipak is a new format of CD packaging made of card and plastic, it’s a new format because it doesn’t have two sides to like the normal CD cover but this one has 6 sides to it. They can flip open like a book. Looking online I found a website that gives templates and dimensions for types of CD packaging, in this case it’s a Digipak. To the left is a template given for a standard two leaf Digipak. When putting together the designs for a Digipak the creator is faced with the challenge of compiling all of the features into one image, well that’s how most Digipaks are made. A software useful fro this kind of production would be Adobe’s Photoshop, however without proper experience it is difficult to compile all of these aspects and have a professional looking design. Based on the research I made I found out that a simple design would do the job and

Its very important that the same style is kept during the process of creating the Digipak, the colours and the design shouldn’t vary too much as it would look very unpleasant. Where as if the same style was kept it would look much more neater and professional.
